Good Morning! I seem to have a problem...I can't stop using this flower!! I tried...I had several different sets out that I was going to use...but I just couldn't help myself! I love this big, bold flower! It layers so nicely, and just plain makes me happy!
I made this card for Beate's Weekend Sketch #22. I think that the "half circle" lends itself nicely to using some fun DP! Oh wait...I think everything lends itself nicely to that! LOL!! It really was a fun sketch to work with...Thanks Beate!! You should also check out the samples that Beate, Charmaine, Jenn, & Sharon have made!
This card started innocently enough..with just a plain stamped flower (I didn't even emboss it like I normally do). I had this all put together...and that's when I caved. I had been trying to resist adding some sparkle. After all, does everything that I stamp need to have sparkle?? Well, the answer to that question, obviously is YES!! LOL! I just got this brand new Stickles color, Cinnamon, in the mail and I just couldn't wait to use it! My husband thinks I'm a little silly, ooohing over sparkle like this, but I tell ya...this new color of Stickles is SOOO gorgeous! The picture doesn't do it justice...it's much better in real life.
Here's a picture of Beate's sketch! I hope you can play too! For complete details and instructions on how to upload your card to SCS, please see Beate's site!
I'll be back tomorrow with my "Sweet & Simple Saturday" card! Have a wonderful Friday!! ~Laurie
