Happy Friday! Has your week been as "long" as mine has? :-) We've had such stormy weather here...with snow and lots and lots of wind! I must admit...that those two are not my favorite together (snow and high wind)...because they create monster drifts! I couldn't even tell you how much snow accumulation we've had...as it's all blown into a gigantic drift (that seems to only be along our driveway and road)! LOL! Some of the drifts are even taller than I am! It is supposed to calm down a little bit this weekend. Whew!
I love to participate in Beate's Weekend Sketch Challenges...and this week especially! It was such a nice "break" from all of the trip preparations I am doing (more on that later).
I will be giving this card to my daughter. I used her favorite colors, stamp set, and patterned paper (I probably would not have paired these colors/patterns together with this set...but I really think she'll like it).
My daughter and I are leaving for a week on Sunday, to head down to Salt Lake City. She will be fitted for a back brace (that will hopefully keep her scoliosis curve from increasing) as well as see several pediatric specialists. She's pretty nervous about it all...but is being incredibly brave. I think she is handling it better than I am...and has amazed both my DH and I with her positive attitude! She is such a special person...and I am so blessed to know her!!
I will give her this card...along with a journal I made (I'll show that to you later :-) for her.
While I'm gone, I have several fun things already scheduled to post! Also....I have some "JUST GIVE ME GOODIES" to give away!!! That will be posted next week...and I'll draw the winners (yes, more than one!!!) when I get back.
