Happy Wednesday! Even as I type that, I can hardly believe that it truly is Wednesday! Wow! Anyway...I have so much stamping to get done (it's such a hard life, I know...hehehee), but I've been suffering from "stamper's block". One thing I like to do when that happens...is check out the daily challenge at Splitcoast! Today, it's exactly what I needed! Not only did I finish this card for the Sketch Challenge, but I was able to finish two more (I'll show those to you later)! Woohoo!
I received this beautiful new Backgrounder from Cornish Heritage Farms the other day, and I was anxious to ink it up! As I was looking at it closer, I realized that it reminded me of the One of a Kind set (that was also waiting to see ink for the first time LOL!)
The small flowers were punched out using the Boho Blossoms punch. For the large flower, I first embossed it on Shimmery White c.s. using Chocolate Chip craft ink and Clear e.p. I very lightly colored it in using a watercolor brush and some Pretty in Pink ink (from the top of my Classic pad lid). I then cut it out and mounted it on Stampin' Dimensionals. The rest is pretty self explanatory. I did add sponging on most of the layers (to both warm it up a little and add depth).
My DH had to go to town today, so he offered to take the kiddos to all of their appointments and piano lessons! Woohoo!!! It is snowing and blowing outside, and I am more than happy to stay inside with my cup of freshly brewed coffee and stamp! :-) I hope you all enjoy your day! ~Laurie
