A Little Bit Funky...
Happy Tuesday!! Thanks SO MUCH for all the sweet birthday wishes!! My day wasn't quite what I expected...LOL! It was definitely one of "those" days that was better after it ended! LOL! It was the same kind of day for my DH as well. Almost every possible thing that could go wrong with calving...did! I do have to say though...that after he finally made it in the house he actually made me a cheesecake!! He does cook sometimes, but hasn't' done much baking before. He called my mom for a New York Cheesecake recipe and he really did a wonderful job!! He only had a few questions for me...like why doesn't the cream cheese mix well (it was straight from the fridge...LOL)...and what is a spring form pan! LOL!! By the time it was all done baking (he took a nap while it was in the oven) it was well after 1:00 a.m.!! What a guy!!! Soo...I had THE best breakfast this morning....cheesecake and coffee! LOL!!
I departed from my normal stamping "style" and made a bright, almost a little bit funky card. When I checked out what today's Color Challenge was I wasn't anticipating on being able to participate...at least not today. We have some company from Switzerland coming tomorrow and I need to not only clean my house, but come up with a decent menu plan. One thing about the Swiss...they know and are accustomed to good food! While that's a good thing when you are visiting their country...it's a LOT of pressure when they come here! LOL!! Time to dust off the cookbooks....
Boy, did I get off topic...LOL! Back to the card. I loved the colors in today's challenge, so I figured if I could make a fast and easy card I would still get to play. My background is simply circles punched out from my 1 3/8" circle punch. I roughed up the edges with my Cutter Kit just to add a little bit more texture. That's it...a fun as simple card (that didn't take very long to make)!

Oh, I hope you can celebrate your birthday again this year, perhaps in a week or two! So sorry the day was full of mishaps, but that cheesecake sounds wonderful! Bless his heart, I can't believe he did that for you! How SWEET!

I really love the colors. Plus..dots are my absolute favorite thing to put onto a card. I have so many rubber stamps (too) that are dots. ;)
