Happy Friday!! I know I've been very quiet lately...I'm just trying to finish up all of the projects that I've been working on. That...and my two year old is...well, acting two! LOL! He is becoming quite the "Outdoorsman"! Just when I think he is actually napping...I see him running around outside! He knows how to open the window, pop the screen out, & crawl outside!!! So..naptime is spent checking on him every few minutes! :-) Mostly, I think he has a bad case of cabin fever!! It is snowing again today, and we are all just tired of the cold weather!
Friday also means it's time for Beate's Weekend Sketch Challenge! I stamped this super cute monkey (C.C. Designs...available at All That Scraps) onto watercolor paper with Palette ink. I then used my Prismacolor pencils and Gamsol to color the monkey in. The rest is just embellishments! :-)
I wanted to add some leaves, so I cut out some leaf shapes from Old Olive c.s. and glued them onto the branch.
Make sure you see what Beate, Cambria, Charmaine, Jenn, Lori, Mary Jo, & Sharon have created for this sketch! :-)
Thanks so much for stopping by! ~Laurie

What a cutie pie. The monkey is so cute, and you really did a great job with the coloring. By the way when you were making this card were you thinking of that sweet little two year old of yours? Just wondering! hehe
Love,
Mom

I guess it's a good thing that I ordered this set from All That Scraps YESTERDAY because after everyone sees your card, there won't be any left! Too darn cute! Love the extra leaves on the branch. As always, your art is superb. So glad you can still squeeze in a bit of stamping - - ever considered bindertwine to the bedpost?!?! Best of luck with your new "exercise" program, Laurie.

Beautiful card as always! The story about your son is just too funny...but not really funny, I know! My daughter will be 2 in June and I can't imagine what I would do if I saw her running around outside all of a sudden--I think my heart would stop!! They are a handful, but so much fun aren't they?

I have 1 just like that! The neighbor brought him home one time from 4 doors down. His brother and sister were sitting on the couch watching tv & I was in the kitchen doing dishes. No one noticed his quiet and quick escape within eyes view of us.
