Happy Friday!! I'll bet you're wondering a little bit about my title today! Well, not only did I make a Christmas card for Beate's Weekend Sketch Challenge....but get this....I woke up to 5 plus inches of SNOW!!! Arghhh!!! I say "plus" because it's blowing so hard that there is probably more, but it has drifted. The forecast says that we could possibly get another 10 inches before Sunday!! Well, nothing puts me in the mood for making Christmas cards like snow! LOL!
I finally had some time to play with my new Snow Swirled set by Stampin' Up!. I knew that I liked if from seeing it in the catalog...but it's even better in real life! This has got to be one of my favorite SU! Christmas sets that I've seen (and I've seen a lot of them :-). I started by embossing the tree in Chocolate Chip in and Clear e.p. onto Shimmery White c.s. I then highlighted the different parts in the tree with my Copic markers. Of course I added some rhinestones...because what's a Christmas tree without some bling? Hehehee!
As always, you have got to check out what Beate, Cambria, Charmaine, Jenn, Lori, Mary Jo, & Sharon have created...they are all so amazingly talented and are sure to inspire you!!
Well, I'm off to shovel our sidewalk/porch! :-) Have a fantastic Friday!!! ~Laurie

SNOW!? It's still very hot here in the afternoons and just in the 60s overnight. . . I can't even imagine seasons at this point! Your card makes me long for snow, though, with a big fire, a hot drink, and a nice fluffy blanket and a good book to read. Just GORGEOUS.

One of the perks to living in the south is not a lot of snow. Oh, but that's not always a perk cuz SOMETIMES I miss it. LOVE your card and I think you've talked me into buying this set. I really like it!! Especially after seeing your gorgeous card!

What a beautiful card! We've only got about 3/4" of snow right now (more is falling now), but they're comparing the potential of this storm to be like the one that dropped 3' of snow on Lead a few years ago and caused major tree damage. It's good and wet! Luckily, I love snow! Should we perform a synchronized sit by the fire with hot chocolate?

Snow--!! And I thought we got it early here in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan! At least it does put you in the mood for Christmas card design! Makes for a cozy day, I'm sure!
This set is so pretty! Will have to take a second look!

Oh, Laurie, I love your non traditional colors for Christmas cards, you are so great at making almost anything work together, never ceases to amaze me. You would think by now I would know, but I still have to say Wow! That is Amazing! Must say, I DO NOT miss the early snow. hehe but there was snow as low as 3000 feet here last night, and there is a possibility of frost even here tonight and tomorrow night. Think I will bring in my two flower pots, am not ready to give them up yet. Enjoy the time stamping since with the wind you can't go out. Maybe it is time for hot chocolate and curl up with a good book. At least a nice thought. Know you're busy/.

Snow? SNOW?? Did I hear you correctly? Good grief, didn't your summer just start a few weeks ago? But you know, I'm green with envy over your beautiful snow. You lucky girl! Your card turned out beautifully and I imagine that your recent snowfall was quite the inspiration.

I have this set but have been neglectful in inking it up. You sure have given me some inspiration with your GORGEOUS card!! I've not worked with vellum cs before, but I like the effect under your tree. TFS!!
