Happy Wednesday! Today is the first day of sneak peeks for the June Taylored Expressions release! Just wait until you see what Taylor has in store for you! Seriously, this is hands down my favorite release so far!
Today, the Baker's Dozen DT is sharing peeks of two brand new sets called Beary Special and Beary Special Accessories! These two sets are the newest additions to the Taylored Expressions Giving Tree. So...not only are these two sets beyond CUTE, but a portion of all the sales will go to a very worthy charity called Sick Kids! The Hospital for Sick Children (Sick Kids) is a health care community dedicated to improving the health of children. Their mission is to provide the best in family centered compassionate care, to lead in scientific and clinical advancement, and to prepare the next generation of leaders in child health. The hospital in located in Canada but is known around the world for its innovation and leadership in research. The illustrator of these two sets knows first hand what an amazing place Sick Kids is. I am so excited to be a small part of Taylor's charity program! As you all know, our family been through some serious medical issues this past year involving our thirteen year old daughter, so this particular charity is very dear to my heart! For my card, I chose the image of this ADORABLE teddy bear hanging out of a backpack (don't you just love his face??!!!?) and combined it with Julee's Mojo Monday sketch #89. I paper pieced the backpack and the bear is colored with Prisma colored pencils (blended with Baby Oil) on watercolor paper. Both the main image and sentiment are from the Beary Special set, and will be available for purchase on Friday at 8 a.m. Pacific Time!
Here's a close-up of the sweet bears face...I just LOVE him! :-) All of the papers I used are from a K & co. Mat Pack pad called Small Wonders Girl. Oh...one last note on the Beary Special and Beary Special Accessories sets...they come un-cut (to save on manufacturing costs so more can be donated). So, all you need is a sharp pair of scissors and then you are ready to stamp with them! :-)
This card is one that I made with stamps from the Beary Special Accessories set. I paper pieced the presents (again, all paper is from the same K & Co. Small Wonders Girl Mat pad), added some Taylor's Tiny Twinkles, and mounted it on a Mega Scalloped Rectangle (for my card base). It's a simple card, but I was in need of a birthday card and this present was just too cute to pass up! :-)
