Sneak Peek - Spring Baskets...

Happy Sunday!  Today I've got the honor of sharing a sneak peek of a brand new Waltzingmouse Stamps set called Spring Baskets!!  If ever I was in the mood for Spring, it is certainly now!  :-)  This happens every year at this time...I get tired of the snow and cold and start longing for Spring!  Even though we've probably got a good 3 1/2 more months of winter ahead of us, wonderful Spring stamps and bright, cheery colors definitely help!  :-)

I chose to use these beautiful flowers (from the soon to be released Spring Baskets set) to create a fun and cheerful Spring card.  I started with a 3 1/8" x 6 1/2" Lemon Tart card base, and then layered on some Berry Sorbet and more Lemon Tart!  To create the subtle pattern on the Lemon Tart background layer, I stamped the same flowers as I used for my focal image all over using Lemon Tart ink.  The polka dot background was made by stamping the polka dot stamp (from the Off Beat Backgroundsset) using Berry Sorbet ink onto White cardstock.  I colored my focal image with Copics and added some buttons in the centers for some fun texture.

Claire is releasing four new sets this Thursday, and let me tell you...you are in for a treat!!  :-)  Speaking of treats...both Belinda and Claire have some more sneak peek eye candy for you to see!!

I used this week's Mojo Monday Sketch as a starting point for Claire's card.  I thought the elegant Say it With Style set (paired with Very Vintage Labels no. 4) would fit the sketch perfectly!

Yep, I'm still working through 400+ emails!  Yikes!  :-)  I have taken a few breaks...to eat, sleep, and take some ibuprofen though!  LOL!

But enough about that...want to see something other than just blah, blah, blah words?  :-)  Me too! 

I made this little card/gift as soon as I received my new Love's Flower set (from Verve Stamps)!  This John Charles Schulz quote inspired my chocolate filled creation...

Using my Rectangle Nestabilities, I made a window on the card front...and an embossed "frame" on the inside.

I plan on giving these to of the young ladies that have been helping me teach the Preschool Kid's Church class...  :-)   They're easy enough to duplicate, but still special enough to show my gratitude!

Okay...back to the emails for me!  :-)

Stamp Sale UPDATE!

I just wanted to pop in here and let you know what's happening on my end...  We unexpectedly had to spend the day at the doctor office yesterday (one of the many joys of Motherhood :-) so I am REALLY behind in responding to emails!  If you haven't yet heard from me, I promise I will respond!  I'm working through the emails in the order they were received.  :-)

One thing I need to ask though, is if you have requested stamps AND have already heard back from me with a total, please respond as soon as you can!  If you have changed your mind that's no problem, I just need to know right away because there are others waiting to hear what's available and what's already taken!

Well, my family is off skiing today and it's just me and my little guy (yep, my four year old "computer guru")!  He's already said that he would help me carry the packages to the mail box...for a price!   ROFLOL!!  He's had his eyes on these Valentine's suckers ever since I made THESE!  Oh how I love it when we get a little time alone together as he is definitely Mr. Personality!!  I love it!  :-)

Retired & Current Stampin' Up! Stamps FOR SALE!!

Whew!!!  I just listed 151 Stampin' Up! stamp sets (some current and some retired), punches, and even some Ink Pads for sale!!  I always put this off because it is SO much work!  LOL!  I just can't stand to see these stamps not being used though...they deserve a good home!  :-)  I also was waiting to fix my email issues before I tackled this, but now that it's working I'm good to go!

This is an all new list...ones that I haven't listed before!   I have added the For Sale page on my left sidebar under the "Pages" heading, or you can click HERE to see my list!

One thing that has happened in the past is people email me asking if I have such and such set still available.  I email them back and say yes...but then don't hear from them.  That's not a big deal...but I have decided that I can't hold sets (put them down as pending) unless I have heard back from you.

Okay...I'm back to finish up answering emails (I'm still working through that one...there were a lot that I missed)!  I have them in a separate folder and am slowly making my way!  :-)  Hope you enjoy your evening!  ~Laurie

A Bit Dramatic...

Whenever I have papercrafting ideas, I jot them down in my journal to try at a later date.  Color combos, sketches, or a certain way to use a stamp/embellishment...they all get written down.  The only problem with this is that I rarely go back and look at my journal when sitting down to stamp!  LOL!  Well, this morning I had a few more ideas to add but somehow I got flipping through my previous ideas and was inspired by a particular sketch I had drawn several months ago!  I then decided to live on the wild side, and couple the sketch with one of the color combos I've been wanting to try!  :-)  

 

The end result is a bit dramatic, but I like it!  I have to tell you though, I kept wanting to add ribbon and I think I tried a thousand different ways...but in the end I thought it looked better without.  So I settled with a cardstock strip cut to look like ribbon!  :-)

I embossed one of the images from Giga Guide Lines three times onto New Leaf cardstock.  The Kraft card base measures 3 1/8" x 6 1/2".  To finish it off, I added three Moss Rhinestones in the middle of the embossed medallions.

Fabulous, Just the Way You Are...

Happy Sunday to you!  Today, I've got another Verve card to share with you!  It's one that is probably my favorite card from this release! 

I'm telling you...these stamps are SOOO pretty!  Definitely one of Julee's best releases yet!   I used the new Heart's Desire set to create this card...and I had SO much fun doing it!  :-) 

   
 
One of my first ideas with this set was to add a flower to the middle of the heart.  I mean, it's about time I started using all of the flowers I have in my "stash", right?  :-)

Here's a close-up of the sentiment and border.  I really wanted to add a bit of tone-on-tone embossing, so decided a subtle border would be the perfect accent to my card.  Because of the softness of the card, I thought that black was too harsh, so I used a dark gray cardstock instead.  :-)  After embossing the sweet little heart flourish (using Versafine Black Onyx ink and Clear detail e.p.), I hand cut around the bottom leaving a custom border!  :-)

I don't' say this enough...but I truly appreciate the time you always take to leave the sweet comments!  (((Huge Hugs)))  Also...I've FINALLY got my email working again!!  Yay!!!  I kept having all of these strange folders popping up...emails were moved and I had to play "hide and seek" with them...but I was always the one "seeking"!  LOL!  At first I thought I might have a computer virus or something...but I never could find that either!  Weeeeelllllll, I found the source of my computer troubles....   

Yep!  My four year old is convinced that he is a self-taught computer guru!!  Sigh...  I have finally fixed all of my settings, and everything is back to normal!!  So...if you haven't heard from me for a while, I should be getting back to you soon!  :-)

Center of Attention - Favors!

Today part of the Baker's Dozen design team is sharing projects made with Taylored Expression Favors!  If you aren't familiar with these, you really should check them out!!  Taylor carries an assortment of different favors...all cut, scored, and ready to be stamped!  :-) 

I chose to work with these ADORABLE clear Self Closing Square Boxes!  How fun are these?!!?!!  These cutie pies took next to nothing for me to assemble....literally one small strip of Sticky Tape and I was in business!  Before I assembled them, I stamped them using the heart stamp from the Love Everywhere set and White Stazon ink.  

 

After my boxes were assembled, I filled them with some Valentine's Candy Corn!  All four of my children LOOOOVE candy corn, so when I saw them in pretty Valentine's colors I snatched some up!!  These are perfect to send in their lunch bags when they go skiing!!!  Shhh, don't tell them though...  LOL! 

 

I topped the boxes off with some pretty Red Polka Dot ribbon and a little tag (made with my Spellbinder's Tags Trio dies) stamped with this sentiment (also from the Love Everywhere set)!

Big Enabler Alert!!!!  Starting today and running through Sunday...all favor boxes are 15% off!!

Love is the Flower...

Happy, happy Friday!!  :-)  Another quick post from me, as I need to get dinner cooking!  I wanted to pop in here and let you know that TONIGHT is the Verve release party!  You are definitely going to want to see these gorgeous new stamps!!    

Here's a shabby chic card I whipped up using the new Love's Flower set (to be released tonight)!

Here's a close-up of the sentiment.  I used my Pearl White Copic marker to "age" the White embossing powder a bit.

And here's a close-up of the flower.  I'm telling ya, these stamps are BEAUTIFUL!!
