Happy July and a great big Happy Canada Day to my Canadian friends!! :-) Today, the Waltzingmouse DT girls are having a Blog Waltz to celebrate the July release of six all new stamp sets!! If you've just arrived here from Edna's wonderful blog, then you are on the right track! In case you've just popped in to see what I'm up to, then head on over to Claire's blog and she'll set you on the right path! :-) (Psssst, there are PRIZES to be had!! Just leave a little love on each blog and you'll automatically be entered to win!!)
For today's card I again went clean & simple. I was in the mood for some bold color blocking, so I grabbed some cardstock and got to work! :-) Because the color combo is a bold one, I decided to keep the focal image simple and just embossed it using Black Detail embossing powder. Speaking of the focal image...is that not THE coolest label you've ever seen?? I just adore Claire's new Rescue Remedies set!!
I wanted to draw the eye to the label even more, so I embossed the pretty swirly design (also from the Rescue Remedies set) using Black Detail e.p. above and below my label. And, just because I love bling :-), I added some matching rhinestones to the centers of the pretty swirly images! Just a quick note about these labels... All of Claire's labels are designed to be used with the Spellbinder's Labels Nestabilities! These particular labels are designed to match the Labels 4 dies.
That's all from today! It's time to send you on to the next stop along the Blog Waltz - Lynn's blog! Knowing Lynn, she will have something incredibly creative to share with you!
