Snow...

Yes, it has actually been SNOWING here the last several days!  Thankfully the weather reports show that it might actually get into the 60's in the next couple of days!  Heat wave!!  LOL!

The good thing about snow in June is it helps put me in the mood to start stamping my Christmas cards early!!  Woohooo!  I'm hoping that come end of October, I will have them all finished!  :-)

Don't you just adore that little chubby snowman?  He has completely stolen my heart!  :-)  Not only are there super cute snowmen (or ladies) included in the Swanky Snowdudes (from Paper Smooches) set, but there are all sorts of accessories you can add to them to make them your own!  You don't have to wait long to see them, because tonight at Midnight all three new sets (Swanky Snowdudes, FOLKal Points, & Word Up) will be released!!  :-)

Fun Vintage Flowers...

A great big happy Friday to you!  It is hard to believe that May is almost over, but I am so looking forward to summer!  :-)

With the end of May, comes a goodbye to Spring until next year.  Before that happens, I thought I would sneak in a few more Spring inspired, blossom filled cards!

Oh how I love the Laced with Grace Collection!  Warm, serene, flower filled...just like a beautiful Spring afternoon!

Ok, I cannot get enough of these Glitzers!!  Vintage stickers that have itty bitty rhinestones on them already??  That is what I call perfection!  :-)

My next card has a different feel to it, using some fabulous Love Games papers!  I warmed the gray and cream color scheme up just a bit by adding another gorgeous Glitzer!

I stamped the frame (from the Love Games clear stamp set) onto vellum, trimmed it, adhered it to my card, and stamped a sentiment on the flowing banner.  Instead of ribbon, I pleated some Love Games gray/black paper and adhered that across my card.

I used the soon to be released FOLKal Prints set!  In fact, I used SIX of the images from the set!  The first thing I thought of when I saw this set was those fun folk art prints that had a gray/black background and fun images and colors that together made a wonderful country scene.  I can't even tell you how much fun I had creating this card!  These images are SO much fun!  :-)

End of Year Thank You Cards...

Hooray for Friday!  All of the end of year craziness has officially begun!  :-)  Well, it's actually been going on all month long, but the next week will be CRAZY!  Today D and I are going along on a field trip with J & B's school.  We will be visiting a commercial dairy and then the Idaho Falls Zoo!  Should be a fun trip!  D has really been lost this year without his big brothers home, and I do believe he is counting down the days until he starts Kindergarten int he Fall!  :-)

Anyway, I thought I'd share a couple of cards I made for our school's Booster Club to use as thank you cards.

This first card is for the lady that drives the school bus.  She is SUCH a sweet person and really does so much for our kids!

I used Crate Paper patterned paper and Chipboard (both from the School Spirit Collection) along with Papertrey's Star Prints set.  I put a thank you sentiment on the inside but forgot to take a picture of it.  :-)

This second card (made for the track coach) uses the same papers, chipboard, and stamp set.

Never Forgotten...

Hi again!  It is with a sad heart that I share this post with you today.  A friend of our family passed away recently leaving behind a wife, children, and grandchildren.  I have always tried to avoid making sympathy cards (I mean, who would want to make them).  But when the people are dear to your heart, nothing will do except a handmade card...

When I am in need of a sympathy card, I always turn to Verve's Never Forgotten set.  I adore the images and  lovely sentiments in it. 

I also used some new paper (from Bo Bunny's Gabrielle Collection), some new Spellbinders dies, crinkle ribbon, and a Prima flower (with some rhinestones thrown in for good measure).

A Very Perky Plant...

Good morning! After a cold couple of days (we woke up to snow yesterday), the sun is shining and it again reminds me that winter is finally wrapping up!  Yay!  :-)

Today I'm sharing a card that was featured on the Paper Smooches Blog yesterday!

I dare you to not smile when you look at this flower!  :-)  What better way to spread a little happiness? 

I made this using the Perky Plants set from Paper Smooches!  It's no secret...I definitely have a little love affair with pink goin' on lately!  Teeheheee! 

You probably can't tell from this photo, but I put some Glossy Accents on the watering can.  You know...just for fun!  :-)

Hello!  Today is the 17th, and that means it's time for the monthly Friends of Waltzingmouse Blog Waltz!  This month's theme is masculine...which is a GREAT thing because my masculine card stash is running low!  :-)  For info on how you can participate, head on over to the Waltzingmouse Forum!

The thing that I love most about the sentiments in the Back in the Saddle set, is that they are large enough to stand alone on a card!  That's a great thing when you want to mass produce of make a card in a hurry!  :-) 

After embossing my sentiment, I added a minimal amount of embellishments (stitching, twine, and a star die cut).

Happy Graduation...

Good morning!  How was your weekend?  We spent ours taking it easy...catching up on some reading and relaxing!  :-) 

Lately, I've been trying to challenge myself to not just reach for all the new products that have landed in my stamp room :-), but to use some of my older treasures as well!  This card is the result of one of those self imposed challenges...

 

I combined some October Afternoon (Thrift Shop Collection) with some rhinestones, Petaloo flower, and a sentiment from Verve's Dare to Be set!
