A Special PS Blog Hop(e)...

October is National Breast Cancer Awareness month.

So many of us know or have known someone who has battled this terrible disease; some have beat it and some have not. In honor of all of the brave women (and men) God Bless You all. May you find the love and peace you so deserve.

The goal of this hop is to spread awareness as far and wide as possible. Early detection is key. It is so important for both women and men to take initiative and get them squished! Your loved ones will also appreciate it.

We are here today to share a special set with you called HOPE.

I was so thrilled to see Kim's new Hope set! As I've mentioned here before, my grandmother had breast cancer and my mom is currently undergoing treatment for her second battle with breast cancer. The first time she went through it, she lived close by and I was able to be there and help her. This time is different because she is living a couple states away and I feel like I can't really do anything to help (she does live close to my brother and sister-in-law and they have been amazing). One thing I can do is send cards & notes of encouragement and Kim's images and sentiments are so great for that!!

For my card, I stamped the boxing glove (from the new Hope set), colored it with Copics, and covered it with Crystal Effects. I stamped the sentiment (which I just adore!!) twice along the right side with a rose bbetween them.

I wanted to show you a close-up of the focal image. I mounted the glove on some cream cardstock and then on a circular piece of felt. I thought that this image would be a great visual reminder, so I added some magnet strips to the back of the felt. All the recipient has to do is take the piece off of the card and it's a magnet ready for the fridge! :-) (I forgot to take a picture of the back...sorry.)
