Verve After Party Blog Hop...

I adore Verve's Plain Janes, and this Happy Valentine's Day one is no exception!  Because of the lovely script and size, I chose to make this the focal point of my card.  I added embellishments around it, but wanted to make sure that the sentiment still was the star of the show.  :-)  To do that, I matted the oval sentiment layer on a red label cut out with the Curvy Bookplate Die (Verve) and then layered that on a label that was included with my patterned paper pad.

Verve New Release Spotlight Day 3...

Woohooo for Friday!!  Not only is it the last day of the work/school week, but today is also the day Verve is releasing all of the brand new stamps and dies you've been seeing over the past few days!  :-)  The inspiration continues today with the final spotlight hop.

For my card, I used the oh so lovely Wings of Love stamp set!  Squeeeaaal!  I absolutely adore this new set!  So pretty!  AND, it comes with a matching die set call Wavy Hearts Die set (I used it for my patterned paper heart above)!  You gotta love matching die sets!

Only one more sleep until the big release!  There will be a release party to celebrate all the new Verve goodness!  I hope you can join us tomorrow night (Friday) at 9 pm EST over at the Verve Forum!

For my card, I used the new Lucky You stamp set along with the coordinating Shamrock Die Set!  This is such a FUN set!  I love that several of the sentiments can be used all year round!  :-)

Here's a close-up of the glittery sentiment on the tag.  I used dark brown pigment ink with sparkly clear embossing powder.  Mmmm,mmmm!  I do love me some bling!  :-)

Birthday Wishes for You...

Happy Monday!  We are in the midst of putting new flooring in our house so my schedule is pretty messed up.  (Read:  no stamping or blogging time for me except when DH runs for more supplies!  LOL!)  Actually, I am thrilled that it is finally happening (we've had the flooring materials since last summer) and I am willing to help DH out as much as he needs!

I needed a birthday card for a friend of mine, so I whipped this one up over the weekend.  I used Verve's Making a Statement set, Loopy Blooms die set, and some Core'dinations paper I've had sitting around for a while.

Want to see more Verve?  Starting this Wednesday the Divas will be sharing peeks of the soon to be released sets and dies!  Woot!

Dance in Sunshine {with a Focus}...

Good morning!  It's my turn to share some Glitz Design projects with you!  And this month, the Design Team is all sharing projects made with a Focus - a lovely and inspirational photo!

Here's the photo Lea chose for us...

 

 Isn't this photo beautiful?  Because I live in Montana, and cold weather lasts way longer than I'd like, I decided to focus on other aspects of this photo than the obvious snow theme.  :-)

For my first card, I used the banner in the photo above as my inspiration!  I also used a yellow background (like the photo).  I combined lots of colors and textures (all products are from Glitz's Dance in Sunshine and Vintage Blue collections).

For my second card, I used the inspiration photo as a sketch.  I combined several papers (all from the Beautiful Dreamer and Vintage Blue collections), a Whatnot, a Glitzer, and an Epoxy Word sticker!

2011 Favorites Part 3 and Winner Announced...

Hi there!  Sorry I'm posting so late today...B had a Dr. appt earlier and I didn't get a chance until now.  I thought I would wrap up my favorites for 2011, as well as announce the winner for the giveaway I posted about last Saturday!

In September, I created this bookmark.  I used the Words of Wisdom and Graph Paper Plain Jane sets along with the Rounded Rectangle Die (all from Verve Stamps).

For October, I have two favorites.  First, I created this simple Christmas card using the Candy Jar Christmas set from Waltzingmouse Stamps.

My second favorite from October is this vintage card featuring papers from Glitz Design!

For November, this paper pieced Christmas card was hands down my favorite!  My card was created using the Bright Spirits stamps set and the Winter Tree Plain Jane (all from Verve Stamps).

In December, I created this soft Valentine's card using the Smoocheroos set from Paper Smooches.

Happy Tuesday!  How's your new year going so far?  We are getting back into a regular schedule and I'm loving it!  :-)

2011 Favorites Part 2...

Good morning!  Happy 2012!!!  I'm back today to share some more of my favorite projects from 2011.  I tried to keep it to just one per month, but as you will soon see I didn't always succeed!  LOL!

Back in May, I created this fun little card using the Hang Ups set from Paper Smooches.

For June, I chose two favorites.  First is this red and ivory vintage card created with the Cameo to Go set from Waltzingmouse Stamps!

My second June favorite is this boquet of hearts!  I created it using the Let it Shine set from Verve Stamps!  To see some close-up photos of this project, check out the orginal post.

For July, my favorite is definitely this sweet basket of berries card!  I used the Fruitastic set from Paper Smooches.

For August, I again chose two projects.  :-)  First up is this fun quilted card I created using Verve's You and I stamp set and the matching die set, I Heart U.

For my second August favorite, I chose this soft and pretty floral card!  I used Verve's Where Flowers Bloom Plain Jane.
