Happy World Card Making Day! What a GREAT holiday! I mean, a whole day dedicated to making cards...it's a card makers dream! :-)
To celebrate this fabulous day, Bella BLVD will be sharing cards every hour over on their blog! It will be jam packed with inspiration! :-) There will also be some awesome PRIZES!! Head on over to the Bella BLVD blog for all of the details.
Here's a card I made for this event...
You all know I have three boys (besides my daughter), right? All three of the boys have birthdays within a month of each other (starting in November). Well, when I saw the Bella BLVD Birthday Boy collection, I was THRILLED!!! I love that there is a mix of patterns/colors that can be adapted to boys of all ages! I chose four different papers for my card. I used two of them to create some sun rays (I cut it out using my Silhouette). The frog is from the Birthday Boy Ciao Chips...isn't he so cute? :-) He reminds me so much of my youngest son, David! David is always bouncing all over the place...just like a frog! Teeheee!
Here's a close up of the letters I added. I used the Birthday Boy Alpha & Bits stickers to personalize it with his name. Don't all seven year olds like to see their names on stuff? I know my son does! And if it doesn't already have his name on it...he usually writes it. And usually with a sharpie marker...sigh. I thought I would save him the trouble. LOL!
Check out those adorable buttons! They are from the Button Market line...love them!
Don't forget to keep checking the Bella Blog today! :-)
I will be back here a little later with more card goodness to share with you!
Happy card making! ~Laurie
