Happy Thursday friends! I love Thursdays...it's *almost* Friday, but I still feel like I have time to finish the things I need to get done for the week! LOL! On top of that, it's also the day that cards are featured over at the Bella BLVD Blog!
Here are a couple of birthday cards (one feminine and one masculine) that I created...
You all know how much I love pretty paper, right? Well, add in some matching embellishments and accessories and I am one happy girl!! You might find this odd, but I love to sit and look at all of the paper and embellishments together! It's how I get a lot of my ideas...just sitting there and mixing/matching different products together! Now THAT is my happy place! LOL!
I created this first card for a sweet friend of mine that is celebrating her birthday soon. Her kids go to the same small, rural school that my boys go to and our families have become quite close. She even made my youngest son cupcakes to share at school (something I always try to do for my boys) on his birthday since I was in Seattle with Alison! She truly is a great friend! Well, her birthday is just after the first of the year, and often gets overlooked because it is so close to the Holidays. This year, I plan on making her a big batch of cupcakes as well as a set of hand stamped cards! :-) And, since she likes bright, fun colors I thought I would include this cheery card!
Here, you can see the little bit of glitter I added to the heart and candle. Also, look at that sweet flag! I have recently "discovered" Bella Flags and I am totally loving them!
For the flower, I added some big loops (using string) behind the Crochet Flower for some extra fun!
