Good morning! In keeping with my recent decision that Saturday is a good day to share some more CAS designs, I have a fun but simple card to share with you today!
If you were at the Gina K release party the other day, then you've already seen this card. :-) The images and sentiment are from a brand new Gina K set (illustrated by Becky Oehlers) called Spoon Me. There were so many fabulous stamp sets released, and you can see them all at the What's New section. I also used some of the new Color Companion products on my card as well: Cherry Red ribbon, Cherry Red buttons, & the new Cherry Red ink pad!

At the release party, Gina announced the new Color Companions line. Brand new ink pads, reinkers, buttons (dyed to match), ribbon, and Gina's fabulous Pure Luxury cardstock are available in 8 new colors. The color shown above (and the ink pad that I used in my card) is called Cherry Red, and just happens to be my favorite!
The ink pads are wonderful!! The coverage is fabulous, and something that I particularly loved is that you don't have to "condition" your clear stamps before you ink them! To condition, I usually had to lightly sand my clear stamps (and often my red rubber ones as well) so that the dye ink would cover them evenly. One of my greatest pet peeves is an image that looks "spotty" due to poor ink coverage. It's always been especially hard to get that coverage on a larger, bold image. Well, I am happy to say that these new Gina K ink pads really, really stamp well! I love them!
Well, it's -15 degrees here and I have decided that I am going to lock myself in my warm stamp room today! :-) I hope you get a chance to be creative today as well! Hugs, Laurie
