Good morning! Wooohooo for Friday!! :-) Do you all have big plans for Easter? I'm still not 100% well, so our family is going to have a very low key celebration, which I have decided is perfect for really pondering the meaning of this remarkable Holiday!
I have some cards stored up on my computer and I thought that I had better get to sharing them! :-)
This card was admittedly a very quick one to put together! I used some new Fancy Pants goodies along with Melanie's new A Year of Flowers 2 (from Gina K)!
For the pull out tag, I added some coordinating patterned paper along the bottom and then stamped a sentiment from Becky's Poster Board Sentiments (also from Gina K) on the top half.
That's it...super easy, but it sure helps to see my birthday card stash slowly filling up again! :-)
I hope you have a wonderful Easter filled with lots of joy! Hugs, Laurie

Good morning! It's "Cards on Thursday" over at the Bella Blog, and I have a couple of cards that are being shared!
The theme this week is Easter/Spring cards. Bella products are perfect for the bright, springy colors that I was going for! :-)
Spring Flings and Easter Things: Borders, Miniatures, Journaling
Stickers, Alpha + Bits, Ciao Chip Icons; Button Market: Fruit Punch;
Crochet Hearts: Gulf Hearts
When I first saw this cute bunny (from the Spring Flings and Easter
Things Ciao Chip Icons), I couldn't help but think of Easter baskets and
eggs! So, that is what I created...a perfect backdrop for this too
sweet bunny! I used my Silhouette to cut out an Easter basket shaped
card (complete with vellum behind the basket). I embellished the card
with a tag, Crochet Heart, and a Pink Flower button.
I kept the color scheme simple and just added a pop of color...so fun! :-)
Well, today is my girl's birthday! Yay!! It's hard to believe that she is 17! It's also a special day for all of us, as a year ago (exactly on this day) we were sitting in the neurologist's office and found out that she had uncontrollable seizures. It's been 4 months since she's had her last one...FOUR months!! :-) We're so praying that this trend continues! I'll share more this weekend (including some pictures)! But for now, I need to go and finish some birthday preparations!
Today, the Bella BLVD Blog is featuring more projects made with the brand new All American collection!
After thinking this for a while, I'm just going to say it. Out loud. :-) This might just be my most favorite Bella collection ever!! That's a pretty bold statement, I know, as I have a LOT of "favorites"! But the bright, combined with the slightly vintage colors in this collection just speak my language! Teeheee!
For my first card, I created a circle card and used a cut out sunburst pattern (I used my Silhouette for that) for the background. I added lots of new goodies to the center and embellished it with a Bella Red Flower button!
All American: United We Stand, July Sky, Borders & Cute Cuts, Alpha &
Bits, Just Write Journaling Stickers, Ciao Chip Icons; Button Market:
For my second card, I went for a completely different look. I created a tall and (somewhat) skinny card. I adore the hearts patterned paper (American Pride)! I used a new All American Ciao Chip piece as the focal image and embellished it with a new All American Flag!
All American: Borders & Cute Cuts, Seeing Stars, American Pride, Alpha
& Bits, Ciao Chip Icons, All American Words Flags
Thanks so much for stopping by today! Hugs, Laurie
Happy Tuesday! I'm up over at the Glitz Blog today! Lea has challenged us to use stickers on our Glitz projects this week...and as it so happens, I LOVE Glitz stickers! :-)
For my first card, I combined papers, Peek-A-Boos, & Puffy Words from the Cashmere Dame collection. For the finishing touch, I added a Cashmere Dame Giant Rhinestone. The focal sentiment is from Verve's new Shining Star set. I die cut some stars (form some coordinating Glitz paper) using the Verve Starry Die.
For my second card, I combined papers, Journaling Stickers, Peek-A-Boos, and Paper Layers from the Uncharted Waters collection. for embellishment, I added some buttons, a Giant Rhinestone, and some Color Me Happy Woodgrain washi tape.
Today is the March Waltzingmouse Blog Party!! If you would like to join in the fun, you can read about all of the details over at the Waltzingmouse Blog!
This month's theme is Luck. How fitting, since today is St. Patrick's Day! :-)
Here's what I came up with...
For my card, I went the traditional "luck" route and used the Watlzingmouse Irirsh Blessings set! I chose to create a more of a CAS design (as CAS as I do, that is LOL!). For the sentiment, I framed it using the Very Vintage Labels No. 4 set and coordinating Spellbinders die.
Hi friends! I wanted to pop in and share some exciting Bella news!!
You all know that I am a fan of Bella BLVD already...but wait until you see their newest collection!! For the first time ever, Bella has a Spring mid-release called All American! This is patriotic goodness at it's best! :-) You can see the whole collection (including new chipboard pieces, Designer Tape, & Stick Pin Flags) over at the Bella Blog! Here are two of my favorite papers (I couldn't pick just one!!)!
Red, white, blue, and gray hearts??? Swoon!!!
