Welcome! Today I'm sharing some ideas on how to incorporate cleaning lists into your Moments Inked planner!
While updating one of my many cleaning lists the other day, the thought occurred to me that it would be handy to have the lists in my planner for easy access. With all of the Moments Inked dies available to create custom pages, I thought that this idea was very doable!
I started by creating some very simple printable lists. I chose some soft, pretty colors that matched some of the colors in my planner. I am a complete beginner at making graphic lists but these have been working so well for me! I started with a Weekly Cleaning Tracker. This is where I will keep track of chores that need to be completed each week, but don't necessarily happen each day.
I then created a Monthly Cleaning Tracker to keep track of tasks that need to be done on a monthly basis, like cleaning baseboards and wiping down all of the doors.
My final sheet is a Yearly Cleaning Tracker. I actually broke this one down into seasons. This list is to keep track of things like changing the smoke alarm batteries and cleaning the vents on appliances.
After creating the lists, I wanted a divider to separate my pages from other sections. I started by die cutting my divider page using the Moments Inked: Binder Page die set. If you have the spiral bound planner, you can use the Moments Inked: Divided die set.
I wanted something pretty and cheerful for the front of my divider. I mean come on, it's a cleaning section...anything to make it more cheery helps, right? ((grin)) I started by stamping one of the open lined flowers from the Bold Blossoms stamp set directly onto the patterned paper in a light, neutral ink. I then added three die cut butterflies (from the Life Is Beautiful die set). The tag is die cut from the Basic Bookmark 2 die. The sentiment and pretty floral swag is from the Choose Joy stamp set.
Below are the Cleaning Tracker sheets that I created. They are JPEG versions and can easily be printed out and die cut using your Moments Inked dies. Feel free to save them if you want! :-) Simply click on the photo and then right click and save the image! I did provide download links to the PDF versions of these files at the end of this post for those that wish to edit or modify the lists.
Before I go, I thought that I would show you how I printed my sheets out and die cut them.
This is a screen shot I took right after I clicked the print button. I use a Mac, but I'm pretty sure the PC versions are similar. I found it very helpful to print "crop marks" on my sheet. Once the print box popped up, I clicked on the More Options button.
Then I checked the "Print Crop Marks" box. That's it! Super easy!
I printed my sheet out using Papertrey Ink's Fresh Snow Linen Cardstock. I like the heavy weight of it and the texture matches the rest of the pages in my planner.
Using the printed crop marks as a guide, I placed my Moments Inked: Binder Page die cut side down on my sheet. I taped it down using some very low tack washi tape to hold it in place.
Here are the download links to the PDF versions of the Cleaning Tracker files. These will allow you to edit the colors or text boxes to fit your own needs. I don't know if other editing software will work, but I have created these with Photoshop Elements.
