Hi friends! I hope you all had an amazing weekend, and my American friends had a wonderful and safe Fourth! It's haying season here on the ranch, so my posts will most likely be pretty short and sweet for the next month or so! Ha! I've decided that I really need to take more photos of this gorgeous place we call home, and I will share more when I can. :-)
For now, I have a simple but cheery card to share with you.
I am still completely giddy over the new Seaside stamp set! I mean, has an octopus ever looked so cute?? :-) My simple card consists of some easy colorblocking using three different shades of cardstock. I stitched them together (please ignore the places my machine decided to snag, ok?) and mounted it on some crisp white cardstock. For the focal image, I started by die cutting the large circle (I used the Circles 'n Scallops Confetti Cuts die set). I left the die cut circle in place as I just was wanting some texture. I then mounted that cute octopus (stamp from the Seaside set and die cut using the Seaside Confetti Cuts die set) on a white circle. I added a little hello banner (stamp from the Bitty Banners set and die cut using the Bitty Banners Confetti Cuts die set) so it looks like he's holding it with one of his tentacles. :-)
And for a little embellishment I added some Natural Twine and a few sequins.
Well, that's all for today!
