Welcome to the second day of the Papertrey Ink May release countdown! For five days the design team will be sharing projects featuring the brand new release!
All of the new products will be May 15th at 10 pm Eastern.
Today, the stamp sets being introduced are all about FUN! Ice cream, celebrations, and emojis...you are going to love today's new goodies!
My first card features the new Big Ice Cream Cone die set and Bold Borders: Shine die set. I just love all of the added detail in the Big Ice Cream Cone like the stitched edge and the texture on the cone! This die set would be fun for party invites, tags, birthdays, or any celebration!
I topped the ice cream cone with a cherry from the Fruit Salad: Cherries. I sponged some ink on before adding the Bold Borders: Shine die cut on top. I also splattered on a little bit of pink paint.
For the sparkly topping, I added some glitter to the Glossy Accents and then painted it on. I think glitter and ice cream should always go together! :-)
My next card features the new Sweet Treats stamp set and coordinating Sweet Treats die set. Not only does this set have several different options for creating ice cream cones, but the sentiments are a great mix of script and type fonts that are perfect for many different kinds of celebrations!
I wanted to tie in the colors of the ice cream scoops a bit more so I punched some circles out of three different colors of cardstock and added them to the background.
For my third card, I used the Hashtag Everything set. This is such a hip and fun set! I'm especially glad to have another set that that I can use to create cards for my boys. I think the hashtags, sentiments, and speech bubbles are such fun touches!
For the background,, I die cut the circle shapes using the new Shapeshifters: Circle 2 die set. The patterned paper is from the new Bitty Big: Limeade Ice paper pack. I'm so happy to see this color, just in time to create brightly colored summer projects!
