Bella & Hampton Art - You're Awesome...

 

The Bella/Hampton Art week is still going on over at the Bella Blog!  Bella has teamed up with Hampton Art Stamps to showcase the new Bella BLVD/Hampton Art stamp sets! 

 

Here is another card I created using Bella/Hampton Art stamps and lovely Bella papers and goodies!  I combined two stamped flowers, a stamped sentiment, Ciao Chip Icons, Journaling Sticker, and a Sand & Surf patterned paper. I just adore the bright and sunny colors in this collection! For embellishment, I added some ribbon and three Button Market buttons.

As you can see in the close-up photo, I embossed the flowers using white embossing powder.  I love how just that small detail can create a whole different look!  :-)

Bella + Stamping...

 

 

This week over the Bella Blog, they are teaming up with Hampton Art Stamps to showcase the new Bella BLVD/Hampton Art stamp sets! 

Here's one of the cards that I created...

One of my favorite stamping techniques is paper piecing (stamping onto patterned paper and cutting it out). For my card, I stamped the heart (from the Love And Marriage Cling Stamp set) onto five different Love And Marriage patterned papers, cut them out, and then stitched them all together. I added a sticker border, Ciao Chip piece, Button Market button, and a stamped sentiment to complete the card.



As you can see by the close-up photo, these stamps leave crisp and clear impressions...I love it!

Bella BLVD meets Silhouette Chipboard!

Happy Sunday friends and a very Happy Mother's Day to you!  Today I have a couple of fun projects (and a card) to share with you! 

Silhouette's May Promotion is now in full swing and I had the honor to create some projects using one of their newest products - Silhouette Chipboard! 

One of the projects that I couldn't wait to create using the Silhouette Chipboard was a gift container! The heavier weight lends itself nicely to holding heavier gifts! I started by cutting out the Fruit Basket shape using my Cameo, assembling it, and then adding some white wash paint over it. I decorated it with a strip of Bella patterned paper, Ciao Chip, and a Button Market button!

The shape file that I used is called 3-D Bushel Fruit Basket. 

Here's a peek at the tag that I included with the basket.  I will be giving this to my three boys' bus driver.  :-)

For my next project I created a little Baby mini album! I cut out album pages using my Silhouette Cameo and some Silhouette Chipboard. I then cut some Baby Boy pages using the same cut files. Both the front and back have different patterns (all from the Bella Baby Boy collection). I decorated the front of the Album using some coordinating Baby Boy Ciao Chip pieces, Alpha+Bits Stickers, a couple of Saltwater Feathers, and a Star Button.

The name of the cut file that I used for this album is called 3 Tabbed Mini Album.

I love adding both dimension and texture to my cards, so the idea of being able to create my own custom chipboard pieces really appealed to me! I used my Silhouette Cameo, Silhouette Chipboard, and various Bella patterned papers to cut out the tree and heart shapes for my card. For embellishments, I added a Miniature Card Sentiment and two Button Market buttons!

The names of the cut files that I used for this card are Echo Park Tree and Hearts Set.

Bright and Fresh Bella Cards...

 Good morning friends!  It's Thursday, and that means that over at the Bella Blog it's "Cards on Thursday"!!  Here are a couple of cards that I made...

 Our theme this week was to create Spring cards.  I decided to use fresh, bright colors (something I definitely associate with Spring) but create a birthday card!  There are lots of upcoming Spring birthdays around here so I want to be prepared!  :-)

 As you can see by this photo, I cut the top layer a bit short so that the patterned paper on the inside would show through to the front as well!  I just can't get enough of Bella's fun patterns!

For my second project, I created a fun Spring "just because" card.  More bright colors and fun Bella embellishments!

I popped up several of the layers for some added dimension.  In fact, there is rarely a card I make that doesn't have at least one popped up layer!  :-)

Still Loving the New All American Collection...

Today, there is more All American inspiration being shared over at the Bella Blog!  Speaking of the new All American collection...it has begun shipping to stores, so make sure to watch for it!  :-)

 Here are a couple of cards that I made with this new collection...

Oh how I love the new All American collection!  The festive colors and fun embellishments are hands down my favorite (and that's saying a lot)!  I used a Surf & Turf Feather in the background, and added several stickers and of course a button!  I probably can't make a card without adding a Bella button on it!

Easter Cards - Bella Style...

Good morning!  It's "Cards on Thursday" over at the Bella Blog, and I have a couple of cards that are being shared!

The theme this week is Easter/Spring cards.  Bella products are perfect for the bright, springy colors that I was going for!  :-)

 When I first saw this cute bunny (from the Spring Flings and Easter Things Ciao Chip Icons), I couldn't help but think of Easter baskets and eggs!  So, that is what I created...a perfect backdrop for this too sweet bunny!  I used my Silhouette to cut out an Easter basket shaped card (complete with vellum behind the basket).  I embellished the card with a tag, Crochet Heart, and a Pink Flower button.

All American Cards...

 Today, the Bella BLVD Blog is featuring more projects made with the brand new All American collection!

After thinking this for a while, I'm just going to say it.  Out loud. :-)  This might just be my most favorite Bella collection ever!!  That's a pretty bold statement, I know, as I have a LOT of "favorites"!  But the bright, combined with the slightly vintage colors in this collection just speak my language!  Teeheee!

 For my first card, I created a circle card and used a cut out sunburst pattern (I used my Silhouette for that) for the background.  I added lots of new goodies to the center and embellished it with a Bella Red Flower button!

Exciting New Bella Collection!

Hi friends!  I wanted to pop in and share some exciting Bella news!!

You all know that I am a fan of Bella BLVD already...but wait until you see their newest collection!!  For the first time ever, Bella has a Spring mid-release called All American!  This is patriotic goodness at it's best!  :-)  You can see the whole collection (including new chipboard pieces, Designer Tape, & Stick Pin Flags) over at the Bella Blog!  The new collection will begin shipping to your favorite stores on April 1st!

Hello, Monday...

Good morning!  Happy Monday, friends!  It has been a CRAZY busy couple of weeks here!  In preparation for leaving to visit my friend Tosh in California, I had three boys to help get ready for the Science Fair, lots of stamping (but really, who could complain about that :-), Dr. appointments, grocery shopping for the family (apparently they like to eat...even while I'm gone LOL!), and a bazillion errands - all while I was very sick! 

I can now happily say that the Science Fair is behind us (our oldest son took 2nd, our middle son won first, and while our youngest didn't place he did do a fabulous job)!  All that to say that today marks the start of a normal week for us!  Hooray for normal!  :-)

Now on to the crafty stuff!  Here are a couple of cards that I created a little while ago.  They have already been shared on the Bella BLVD Blog.

It's true!  I am hopelessly addicted to Bella's Crochet embellishments (flowers & hearts) and their buttons!  I would use them on every card if I could!  :-)

And what's not to love about the the Ciao Chip Trees! I think they're perfect for all year round, not just in the Fall! For my card, I combined the chipboard tree (along with a chipboard heart from the Ciao Chip Stars & Hearts) with lots of items from the Sophisticates collection. For embellishment, I added a Crochet Flower, and two buttons.

Yep, there's some more crochet flowers and buttons!  :-)

Along with all of the fun elements included in the Kiss Me collection, I find that many of the Sophisticates embellishments and papers are great additions to the Kiss Me collection! For my card, I added a chipboard heart form the Sophisticates line, as well as a Star button and Dahlia Crochet Heart.

Cards on Thursday...

 Hi again!  This is my second post for today.  If you would like to see my Waltzingmouse waltz card, please scroll down!

I have a lot of Bella goodness to share with you today, so grab a cup of your favorite beverage!  :-)

To me, the fun pastels combined with brighter hues is so classic Bella!  This card combines all of that, plus many of my favorite Bella embellishments - Ciao Chip chipboard pieces, Flags, Buttons, and Sentiment Stickers!  For a little extra fun, I added some chunky glitter around the edge of the cupcake!

I just adore the new Freestyle Sophisticates collection!  I couldn't decide which colors to use first, so I chose five of them!  After I stitched on the background pieces, I layered on some chipboard, stickers, Designer Tape, and a Pink Flower button!
