I almost just wrote "Happy Friday"!  LOL!  Apparently, I am very eager for this week to be over!  LOL!  In any case...I hope the day you are having is a good one!

I have a fun Reverse Confetti card to share with you today!

I started with a dark gray card base and bottom layer.  I die cut five flowers out of some felt that I purchased a little while ago and stitched them on.  I added some buttons because....well, because who doesn't love yummy colored buttons?  :-)  The sentiment stamps are from the Dream in Color set (which is now back in stock...yay!!).

My first project is a mini notebook that I covered with some of the Summer Brights patterned paper pack (included in the Days of Summer StampTV Kit), some trim, white grosgrain ribbon (also from the new StampTV Kit), and a button (from the Bowl of Cherries collection).  Those sweet cherries and sentiment are from the You're the Sweetest set (all from the Days of Summer StampTV Kit).

I stamped the cherries using the Cherry Red and Grass Green stamp pads.  Just for fun (and when is bling ever not fun??), I added some glitter to the cherries.

My second project is a set of mini cards that I created using two of the Days of Summer StampTV Kit.  I love mini cards...I love making them and I love giving them!  :-)  They are the perfect size to tuck in with a small gift, or I like to wrap them up with a ribbon and give them away as the actual gift!  :-)

These cards feature the A Wish For You set (from the Days of Summer StampTV Kit).  I couldn't help myself...I just had to add some more glitter!  :-)

 

This next two mini cards feature the Summer Blooms stamp set (part of the Days of Summer StampTV Kit).  I used the Passionate Pink, Bubblegum, & Black Gina K ink colors.

 
As with the first couple of mini cards, I added some glitter.

A Couple of Cards to Share...

Good morning!  I know it's been quiet around here lately.  My daughter and I just recently got back from a trip to the Seattle Children's Hospital.  Oh what a difference a year can make!  :-)  They did the same tests that they did last year, but the results were SO much better this time!  It's officially been 6 months since her surgeries and so far so good!  Yay!!!  She is starting to get her energy back (although there are still some rougher days) and is making progress with all the physical therapy as well!  Overall, it was a great trip!  :-)

So...how about a couple of cards?  Here are some that Kim shared over at the Paper Smooches blog recently...

 

My first card features the new Thanks Word die!  I LOVE Kim's word dies...I mean, dies in her fabulous handwriting...it doesn't get much better than that!  :-)  I chose three different patterned papers to adhere to the back of my top layer (on which I used the die to cut out the thanks word three times).

My second card features the new Green Thumb stamp set along with the  new Clouds dies!  For the sentiment, I used my favorite go-to set and dies - Streamers stamp set and Streamers dies.  I seriously could use these on every card I make!  :-)

June Reverse Confetti Blog Hop...

For my card, I used the I Like You set.  It is no secret...I do like coffee!  :-)  As soon as I saw this set, I knew I wanted to make this card!  I used a shaped card file from the Silhouette store and cut it out with my Silhouette Cameo.

For my card, I used the soon to be released Briny Blue set!  Eeeep!  This is such a FUN set!!  Seriously, one of my PS faves!  I created a little water scene by tearing some water colored cardstock and then adding some glitter to the edges.  The dolphin is actually embossed using silver embossing powder...I tried so hard to get a better picture of it but our weather and light were not cooperating with me.  Sorry about that!  :-)  I popped up a little banner with one of the sentiments included in the Briny Blue set.  Just for fun, I added a sprinkling of rhinestones!

Waltzingmouse May New Release Waltz...

It's here!  It's release day over at Waltzingmouse Stamps!  The USA 1776 and Country Labels 4 sets are now available!

For my card, I created a bright and cheery all-occasion card.  For the background, I used two different background stamps from the Gingham & Co. set.  The pretty label and cherry images are from the new Country Labels 4 set.

Here's a peek at the inside of the card.  I wanted to add a sentiment...and I really wanted to frame it in one of the fabby label images (from the Country Labels 4 set) but didn't have room on the card front.  So, I decorated the inside!  :-)

Paper Smooches & Scor-Pal Team Up!

Hi friends!  This week Paper Smooches is teaming up with Scor-Pal!  I happen to love both companies so this was extra fun for me!  :-)

For my project, I created a gift card holder.  I love making these and try to keep a couple on hand at all times so I can just slip a gift card in when the need arises! 

I used this sweet little bird from the Woofers & Tweeters set.  I embossed the sentiment (from the Birthday Sampler set) using gold embossing powder and then used one of the Streamers Dies to cut it out.

I used my Scor-Buddy to emboss a frame directly on the patterned paper.  I just love the added texture it gives!

Here's a peek at the inside.  The sides are stapled to create the pocket for the gift card and then I adhered a strip of patterned paper on top to hide them.  :-)

I embossed the little heart (also included in the Woofers & Tweeters set) using gold embossing powder.

Here's a photo of the supplies I used (minus the patterned paper and extra cardstock piece for the back).  The measurements of the main cardstock piece is 3 3/4" x 7".  I scored it at 2 7/8" and 5 3/4".  The little "flap" that is left on the end is the pocket for the gift card.  When decorating my gift card holders (or any gift item), I prefer to use Scor-Tape.  It is very easy to apply and holds very well!  I have both the larger Scor-Pal and the smaller Scor-Buddy and I have to say that 99% of the time I use my Scor-Buddy!  It's smaller size is perfect for making cards and smaller gift items!

Waltzingmouse May Previews Day 3...

Welcome to day 3 of the May Waltzingmouse new release previews!  Both the Country Labels 4 and USA 1776 sets will be released this Wednesday (tomorrow)!

Today we are sharing projects made using the Country Labels 4 and USA 1776 sets together!

I am SO loving these new sets!  I created another vintage patriotic card...with lots of inking!  :-)  I just can't help myself, it's SO fun!  I used one of the smaller labels (from the Country Labels 4 set) with both of the star builder images (more on that in a second) as well as a sentiment from the USA 1776 set.

For the banner, I stamped the both of the star builder images (when stamped together they create a lovely, patriotic star) and then fussy cut them out.  I folded the top part of the images over and then glued them on a piece of twine.  So easy...and it gives you another option for using those images!  :-)

 

For my second project, I created a tag.  I used the frame from the USA 1776 set and the house image and sentiment from the Country Labels 4 set.

I attached the tag to a fresh out of the oven loaf of banana bread!  I will have to share my recipe for Banana Bread with you.  It is SO good!  It's a bit different but is definitely my family's favorite!  I promise to share it with you soon!  :-)

Waltzingmouse May Previews Day 2...

Welcome to Day 2 of the May Waltzingmouse new release previews!  Two brand new stamp sets will be released this Wednesday, May 29th!

Today, we are sharing projects made with the soon to be released USA 1776 stamp set!

I had so much fun getting all inky for yesterday's card, that I decided that I needed to do it again!  :-)  I used 10 different images from the USA 1776 set.  I stamped all four of the fireworks images using different colors to create the background for my card.  I used the coordinating cut files (they will also be available this Wednesday) for all of the following images (no fussy cutting today woohooo!):  the frame, Statue of Liberty, 1776 sentiment, stars, flag, and fireworks!  I cut them out all at once on my Silhouette Cameo and my card was finished in no time!  In fact, I probably set a record for the quickest non CAS card I've ever made!  I even inked up all of the edges to give it a bit more of a rustic look!

Waltzingmouse May Previews Day 1...

Hi friends!  I'm SO excited!!  It's almost time for another Waltzingmouse release and as usual, Claire has some fabulous stamps in store for you!  This Wednesday, two brand new sets will be released!

I have a couple of cards using the soon to be released Country Labels 4 set to share with you...

For my first card, I used some dark jewel tone colors and had a blast inking up all of the edges!  It's been a while since I've gotten that inky, and I have to tell you that I absolutely loved it!  It just makes my heart happy!  :-)

I used three different images on my card:  one of the large labels, the leaf image, and one of the sentiments.

I used a bit of brighter colors on my second card.  I used the stitched polka dot circle image as well as another one of the sentiments.  Isn't that font fun?  I SO love it!  :-)
