Hi there! Have you ever just had "one of those" weeks? Yep, that's the kind I've had! I won't bore you with all of the little things but let's just say that it involves one very cute 2 1/2 year old toddler that thinks sleeping is for the birds! :-) Add that to some typical Montana "Spring" weather (read snow/blizzard) and you can pretty much guess how in need of cheerful colors and lots of coffee I am! Ha! Speaking of cheerful colors...
Have you seen the latest Verve Diva Inspirations challenge? Bright, sunshiny colors...just what the doctor ordered! I've actually had this card finished for quite a while, and intended to post it for the Diva Inspirations Blog Hop last Sunday, but....well...I told you about my week, right? ;-) Anyway, I wanted to actually share it here with you all. It might just be one of my favorite Verve cards I've made in quite a while!
I used stenciling paste and a stencil to create the background (I purposefully left some of the edges only half way finished to give it more of a vintage/modern look). The flowers and sentiment are from Verve's Simply Amazing stamp set. The flowers were die cut using the coordinating Simply Daisies die set. I also added one of the die cuts (the "perfect" sentiment" from the Amazing Adjectives Word die set. And that tag (it's one of my fave Verve tags) is die cut from the Sweet Scallop Tag die.
See, doesn't that inspiration photo bring a smile to your face? All that happy and cheeriness is contagious! :-) If you want to play along, you have until May 5th to upload your photo to the InLinkz feature over at the Verve blog!
Well, I'm off to get ready for a date with my hubby! I love where I live, but sometimes it's fun to escape to town (especially with my handsome Cowboy)!
Thanks for stopping by!
