Summer ABC Gift Set...

Hi there!  Phew!  What a week!!  It's been C.R.A.Z.Y. around here lately!!  Right after getting home from Seattle, I prepared to cook for a bunch of cowboys (and their wives), had several Dr. appointments to drive to, and today...a trip to the ER for my 14 year old to get stitches.  Finally, I found a few minutes to add my challenge post over at StampTV (it's my turn to host the Mix it Up Monday challenge)!

My challenge is to create a Summer ABC (anything but a card) project! 

 

For my projects, I used the Fishing You the Best stamp set (from the Days of Summer StampTV Kit) along with some of the GKD Fishy Fiesta Patterned Paper.  Just for fun...I added some googlie eyes to the fish and crab!  :-)

Well, I am going to go ready my boys a story...something that I have slacked with lately and fully intend to pick back up!  We are starting another Hank the Cowdog story!

Waltzingmouse May Previews Day 3...

Welcome to day 3 of the May Waltzingmouse new release previews!  Both the Country Labels 4 and USA 1776 sets will be released this Wednesday (tomorrow)!

Today we are sharing projects made using the Country Labels 4 and USA 1776 sets together!

I am SO loving these new sets!  I created another vintage patriotic card...with lots of inking!  :-)  I just can't help myself, it's SO fun!  I used one of the smaller labels (from the Country Labels 4 set) with both of the star builder images (more on that in a second) as well as a sentiment from the USA 1776 set.

For the banner, I stamped the both of the star builder images (when stamped together they create a lovely, patriotic star) and then fussy cut them out.  I folded the top part of the images over and then glued them on a piece of twine.  So easy...and it gives you another option for using those images!  :-)

 

For my second project, I created a tag.  I used the frame from the USA 1776 set and the house image and sentiment from the Country Labels 4 set.

I attached the tag to a fresh out of the oven loaf of banana bread!  I will have to share my recipe for Banana Bread with you.  It is SO good!  It's a bit different but is definitely my family's favorite!  I promise to share it with you soon!  :-)

Happy Harbor Mini Card Set...

Happy Saturday friends!  Today I have a fun little project to share with you!  I created a mini card set and holder using the new Happy Harbor set from Reverse Confetti!

For the mini card holder, I used a modified version of the 4" holder that I wrote a tutorial on.  If you are interested, you can find it HERE.  For the cover, I decorated it with some color blocked strips of cardstock and two images from the Happy Harbor set.  I colored the lighthouse in using Copic colors that matched the cardstock.

Here is a view from the side.  Two pockets hold the envelopes and mini cards.

I stamped the banner image (also from the Happy Harbor set) across the top of each pocket.  I included 6 envelopes to go with the 6 mini 3" cards.

I created two of each card design.  I used a light green for these two and paired it with some gray stamped rope.

For these anchor themed cards, I used a light purple.  I softened the stamped background with a strip of vellum cardstock.

For my final pair of cards, I paired the whale image and matching sentiment.  For the background, I scored horizontal lines across the white cardstock (it's a little hard to see in my photo).

Here's the stamp set that I used...it is definitely one of my Reverse Confetti faves so far!  :-)

Bella BLVD meets Silhouette Chipboard!

Happy Sunday friends and a very Happy Mother's Day to you!  Today I have a couple of fun projects (and a card) to share with you! 

Silhouette's May Promotion is now in full swing and I had the honor to create some projects using one of their newest products - Silhouette Chipboard! 

One of the projects that I couldn't wait to create using the Silhouette Chipboard was a gift container! The heavier weight lends itself nicely to holding heavier gifts! I started by cutting out the Fruit Basket shape using my Cameo, assembling it, and then adding some white wash paint over it. I decorated it with a strip of Bella patterned paper, Ciao Chip, and a Button Market button!

The shape file that I used is called 3-D Bushel Fruit Basket. 

Here's a peek at the tag that I included with the basket.  I will be giving this to my three boys' bus driver.  :-)

For my next project I created a little Baby mini album! I cut out album pages using my Silhouette Cameo and some Silhouette Chipboard. I then cut some Baby Boy pages using the same cut files. Both the front and back have different patterns (all from the Bella Baby Boy collection). I decorated the front of the Album using some coordinating Baby Boy Ciao Chip pieces, Alpha+Bits Stickers, a couple of Saltwater Feathers, and a Star Button.

The name of the cut file that I used for this album is called 3 Tabbed Mini Album.

I love adding both dimension and texture to my cards, so the idea of being able to create my own custom chipboard pieces really appealed to me! I used my Silhouette Cameo, Silhouette Chipboard, and various Bella patterned papers to cut out the tree and heart shapes for my card. For embellishments, I added a Miniature Card Sentiment and two Button Market buttons!

The names of the cut files that I used for this card are Echo Park Tree and Hearts Set.

For my first card, I combined two of the new sets!  I used three flower images from Becky's new Bold Blooms set.  The zig zag border and sentiment are from Tami's new Simple Flowers set.

I used some Ocean Mist, Sweet Mango, & White Pure Luxury Cardstock (definitely my favorite cardstock)!  For inks, I used some coordinating Ocean Mist Ink (I love having matching inks!) and some Sweet Corn Color Companion Ink for the sentiment.

 

For my next card, I again combined two of the new sets.  I stamped one of the background border images from Melanie's new Pretty Patterns 2 set.  I embossed one of the sentiments from Carolyn's new Stamp It Big! 2 and then punched it out using a heart punch.

The Gina K Color Companion Inks that I used are:  Bubble Gum, Passionate Pink, & Black Onyx.  I used Black Onyx and White Pure Luxury Cardstock and a little bit of Gina K Color Companion Black Onyx Gingham Ribbon as well as a Color Companion Pink Passion Button.

For my final projects, I created a little gift wrapped up with some pretty Gina K Color Companion Bubblegum Pink Gingham Ribbon.  I decorated a little tag using some patterned paper and the new A Little Something set (this month's new One Free With Three set)!  Before I wrapped up the package, I stamped the heart (also from the A Little Something set) onto the bag using the new Gina K Bubblegum Pink ink pad.

Reverse Convetti New Release Blog Hop...

For my project today, I tried something a little bit different!  My daughter had done something similar to this (without the stamping) in her art class and I was eager to try it out!  So, with a little directional help from her I created this little wall decor.  :-)  I started by replacing the paper around the crayons and then hot glued them to the canvas.  Then, using a hair dryer, I heated the crayons until they started running.  After the wax drips were what I wanted them to look like, I let them cool. 

I embossed the sentiment (from the new Dream in Color set - which is available NOW) and layered it onto the crayons.  For embellishment, I tied on a ribbon and added some coordinating sequins.  And then, just for fun, I sprayed the whole project using some Calico Shine spray.

Countdown to Confetti - I Like You!

Welcome to day three of the very first Reverse Confetti Sneak Peeks!  Today the Confetti Crew is sharing projects made with the soon to be released set - I Like You !  All four of the new sets will be released this coming Wednesday, May 8th!

For my project, I covered a Swiss Hazelnut chocolate bar with some much prettier wrapping!  :-)  I started with some K & Co. patterned paper and then layered on my focal image (two different sentiments, an ampersand, and a dotted line all from the new I Like You set).

For embellishments, I added some buttons, a flower, pearls, and two different ribbons.

I created a card gift set using the new Spring Parade patterned paper (and coordinating cardstock)!  I started by making a box to hold the 6 cards (and matching envelopes).  I used my Silhouette and Gina K cardstock.  Just a quick note about Gina's cardstock...  I have found my NEW favorite cardstock!  Wow!  It is such high quality, heavyweight cardstock...and I just love how it folds!

For the top, I made two bows using some of the ribbon included in the Stamp TV Kit.  I glued them together and then added a matching flower.

Here's a side view of the box.  I added some more ribbon (included in the Kit) around the sides of the box to dress it up a bit.

I kept the design of the cards the same, but changed colors.

 

I used some strips of the Spring Parade patterned paper for a pop of color.

I made two of each color, for a total of 6 cards.  I stamped the flower on 6 envelopes and included those in the box as well.  I kept the cards "blank" so that the recipient can use them for any occasion.

Teacher Gift Card Holders...

Hi there!  Can you believe that I'm posting two days in a row?  :-)  Things truly have been busy around here as I prepare for Christmas. 

Today I am sharing the cards/gift card holders that I made for our boys' teachers!

I used a file that I purchased from the Silhouette Store for the shapes.  I embellished each one using felt that I die cut using a couple of different dies.

This is the one that I created for the only male teacher, so I didn't add as many "fluffy" and girly embellishments. 

Here's a peek at the inside.  I embossed the sentiment (from the Merry & Bright set from Verve) on a piece of coordinating patterned paper.

On the other two, I created poinsettias that I cut out with felt.  The patterned paper is all from Echo Park's This & That collection.  As a finishing touch, I spritzed on some Shine Spray.

I stamped the snowflake (also from Verve's Merry & Bright set) using white craft ink.

I plan on tucking a gift card behind each tag insert.  Of course I will be giving them with a plate of home baked goodies!  :-)

Well, that's all from me today!  I actually have more goodies to share with you tomorrow!  Go me!  LOL!
