October Key Ingredients Subscription...

Good morning!  Today, part of the Baker's Dozen DT is sharing projects made with October's Key Ingredients Subscription kit!

I am a huge Cosmo Cricket fan, so I was tickled to see that this month's kit includes Cosmo's Earth Love patterned paper!  Woohoo!!  As always, Taylor has included matching Prism cardstock, embellishments (this month it is some waaaaay fun bird chipboard pieces (Maya Road), and ribbon.  Well, this month Taylor also included some Avocado Metallic Maya Mist! 

My first project is a little card I made (I signed up to make a 3-D project, but I couldn't help myself - I had to make a card as well :-) measuring 4" x 4".  The little bird was first painted with Ivory acrylic paint then spritzed with Maya Mist Avocado Metallic spray!  Everything (with the exception of the little rhinestone) is from this month's KI subscription kit.

When I first saw these adorable chipboard pieces, I thought they would make wonderful magnets!  I started by painting the bird and birdcage with Ivory acrylic paint.  I then covered the main part of the bird with some of the included patterned paper as well as adhering a cut out piece on the back (I chose a pattern that reminded me of the sky and clouds).  A little ribbon (also from the kit) and y magnet was done (I adhered magnet strips to the back)!  This was SO easy and so fun to make!  I love these chipboard pieces!!  :-)

Ten Minute Cards....Me???

Happy Thursday!!  Did you chuckle when you read my title?  I know, I know...the very thought of me making a ten minute card IS funny, right?  Well, not only did I DO it...but I made FOUR of them!!!  Waaahooooo!!!

Today is the release of Taylor'sAugust Key Ingredients kit, and let me tell you it is my hands down my favorite kit so far!!  I loooove it!  Pebbles patterned paper (some of my favorite), matching Prism c.s., coordinating rhinestones, ribbon, and the funnest rub-ons ever...all in one kit!  

I have to admit, when I first started I *might* have been whining...just a little.  :-)  See, Taylor has challenged the Baker's Dozen to keep our cards quick and simple...ten minute cards!  GASP!!!  What??!!!  I wasn't sure I had it in me..  LOL!  Well, once I pulled out all the goodies from the kit and got to work I couldn't stop!!  How's that for irony!!  LOL!

 

Except for the sentiments (which are from Faith & Hope, Branching Out Coordinates, & A Year of Sentiments) all of the images are from the rub ons included in the KI kit!!

June Kit of the Month...

Today, the June Key Ingredients from Taylored Expressions is available and I have a couple of samples that I made with it to share with you!  Taylor issued us a challenge to go along with our KI kit - to create a project for a June event that includes some dimension (I LOVE adding dimension to my projects!!) but we couldn't use any Copics (GASP!!)!    

 

For this little 4 x 4 card, I used images from theFor the Love of Cupcakes set.  I decided to put a stack of hearts on the platter (which is embossed with the Swiss Dots Cuttlebug Folder) instead of a cupcake.  This isn't for a specific June event, but I needed a thank you card...and well, it is June!  LOL!  All of the supplies are from the KI except the Taylor's Tiny Twinkles that I added to the hearts.  

For this card I used the Enjoy Every Moment set from Stampin' Up!.  I distressed all of the edges and stitched around a couple of the layers.  For embellishments, I added a large Prima flower, two white Candy Dots, and some Ric-Rac (all from the June KI kit).

Both cards have one or more layers popped up using Taylor's 1/16" Foam Tape.

Sweet Friend Bookmark & Card...

Good Morning!  I hope your week is off to a good start!  :-)  We've got a busy day ahead of us, but I like busy days...it always feels so good to get a lot accomplished (that is an outlook that I definitely acquired from my Type A, Swiss husband!!)!  LOL!

Today, part of the Baker's Dozen DT is participating in a challenge...using the Key Ingredients Subscription Goodies!  What is a Key Ingredients Subscription?  Well, this month it's a whole kit of coordinating patterned paper (20 sheets of 6 x 6), cardstock, ribbon, glitter, & flower rhinestones...all delivered to your door!  You can read more about it on Taylor's Blog.

This month's challenge focus is to use the glitter (that comes in the kit), but the restricted element is that it can't be a regular A2 sized card (4 1/4 x 5 1/2).  Well, using glitter...so NOT a problem for me!!  The more sparkle...the better!  LOL! 

   

I chose to make a tall and skinny card (I LOVE to make these), which measures 3 1/8" x 6 1/2".  I thought the size was perfect for this image of stacked cuppies (from Sweet Celebration - one of the first sets released by Taylor).  The patterned paper (did you see the glitter I added to the turquoise flowers?), cardstock, ribbon, glitter, & flower rhinestone are all part of this month's KI Subscription. 

 

To hold my bookmark, I stitched on a vellum "pocket".  I like that you can still see whole image through the vellum!
