Waltzingmouse April New Release Waltz...

Hi friends!  Welcome to the April Waltzingmouse Release Waltz!  Three brand new sets are now released and can be seen over at the Waltzingmouse Store!

I have two cards to share with you today!  The first uses the uber sweet new set, Nordic Baby!  I went vintage on my card, and had a blast inking up edges and grunging up the baby a bit!  I used two images from the set as well as two sentiments.  I just love how the sentiments are separate so that it is easy to stamp them in different colors!

For my second card, I used the new Man of the Hour set!  Oh how I love the sentiments (and wonderful mix of fonts) that Claire put into this set!  What a fabulous addition to my stamp library!!

I again got all inky with my card!  I started by painting a white wash over some of the patterned paper pieces and then inking up the edges in a soft brown.  The focal sentiment is embossed using a dark brown embossing powder.

Here's a peek at the inside.  I embossed another sentiment on the inside.  I carried some of the design elements that I used on the front to the inside as well.

Waltzingmouse April Preview - Day 3...

Hi friends!  It's day 3 of the Waltzingmouse Stamps April Previews!  Today the design team is sharing projects made with the brand new Man of the Hour set!

Do you want my first impression of this set?  It has THE coolest mix of fun fonts and fabby sayings ever!  This truly is a must have masculine set!!  It definitely ranks up there with my fave Waltzingmouse sets ever!

I've made two cards to share with you today...

For my first card, I chose to use my favorite sentiment from the new Man of the Hour set (which is a touch thing to say, because I love them all)!  For my card background, I used one of my Silhouette files (called Intertwined Lace Background Single Fold Card).  to me, it looks a little like a chain link fence and I thought it would be the perfect backdrop for this awesome stamp!

For my second card, I chose a different sentiment.  This time, I stamped the background (using the Waltzingmouse Woodgrain set).  I adorned the card using another shape that I cut out using my Silhouette (this one is called Longhorn).

Waltzingmouse April Preview - Day 2...

Hi there!  Welcome to the second day of Waltzingmouse Stamps April previews!  On April 18th, Claire is releasing three brand new sets!  Yay!!  :-)

Today, the design team is sharing projects made with the new Nordic Baby set!  Talk about a caaauuuuute set!!  Aaack!  :-)

There is this wee little stamp included in this new set that immediately caught my eye!  It's a piece of lace that can make beautiful decorative borders!  I thought it would be perfect to add some prettiness to a onesie!  After making the yellow one, I loved it so much I made another one in a light turquoise!

 

I embossed the lace around the leg openings as well as around the neck.  I also embossed the round focal image and the sentiment.

 

For decoration, I added some rhinestones and a matching bow.  These were so easy to make, I think they would be great as a baby shower invite...as well as a baby card!

Waltzingmouse April Preview - Day 1...

Hi friends!  Welcome to the first day of the Waltzingmouse Stamps new set previews for April!  Just WAIT until you see the news sets that Claire has designed!  Squeeee!  :-)

Today the design team is sharing projects made with the new My Kind of Guy set!  Having four boys in the house (DH and three sons), I know that I will be using this set often!

One of the things that struck me right away, was the detailed border and decorative stamps included in this set!  To me, they look exactly like something I would see on my husband's saddle, chinks, or spur straps!  LOVE it!

For my card, I started by stamping the Cabin Plaid Backgrounder stamp on my background layer.  I added a couple of borders (one using the already made border and one making my own with a couple of the decorative stamps).  For the focal image, I stamped the frame and then filled it with 4 different sentiments.  I love how many of the included sentiments are separate, so I can easily stamp them in different colors!

March Waltzingmouse Blog Party - Shamrock Blessings...

This month's theme is Luck.  How fitting, since today is St. Patrick's Day!  :-)

Here's what I came up with...

For my card, I went the traditional "luck" route and used the Watlzingmouse Irirsh Blessings set!  I chose to create a more of a CAS design (as CAS as I do, that is LOL!).  For the sentiment, I framed it using the Very Vintage Labels No. 4 set and coordinating Spellbinders die.

Waltzingmouse March New Release Waltz...

For my first project, I created a shabby style tag using two of the newly release sets!  I started by stamping the large medallion (from the Folk Art Medallion set) on to the center of the tag using some similar colored ink.  For the focal image, I stamped the label (from the Folk Art Label No. 25) and layered on a glitterfied (my word :-) chipboard bird.

For my second card, I again used the new Folk Art Medallion set.  I created my own background using three different images from the set.  The sentiment (and itty bitty medallion) is also from the Folk Art Medallion set.

Waltzingmouse March Previews - Day 3...

Good morning!  Have you been loving all of the Waltzinmouse previews as much as I have been?  You are so going to love all of the fresh and unique stamps Claire has in store for you!  All of the new sets will be released on March 8th!

Today the Design team is sharing projects made with the new Folk Art Medallion set!

For my first card, I created a simple yet elegant card.  I embossed the large medallion onto cream colored cardstock using white embossing powder.  I added some antique gold embossed accents (all images are a part of the new Folk Art Medallion set)!

 

For my second card, I wanted to create more of a graphic style card.  While I was at the beach with Tosh in California, I kept seeing these colors together...seriously, they were everywhere!  I knew that I wanted to make a card with them and I thought the Folk Art Medallion set would be perfect with these colors!  The small circle medallion and leaves are embossed using clear embossing powder.  The small image that I stamped on the background strips was stamped using just Versamark Ink.

Waltzingmouse March Preveiws Day 2...

Good morning!  It's day 2 of the March Waltzingmouse Previews!  Today we are sharing projects made with the new Folk Art Labels No. 25!

My first card uses three different images from the new Folk Art Labels No. 25 set.  I embossed all the images/sentiment using Black Detail embossing powder...I really love how it stand out - even against a dark background!

I just arrived home last night from a trip to see my sweet friend Tosh!  While I was there, I stamped this card!  It was SOO much fun snooping through her craft room...I couldn't help but be inspired!  I kept the card simple, using some accessories from the Little Yellow Bicycle collection Just Because.  I added the sentiment (from the Folk Art Labels No. 25 set) by stamping it on a coordinating piece of patterned paper, trimming the end like a flag, and stapling it on!

Waltzingmouse March Previews Day 1...

 Good morning!  It's the first day of the March Waltzingmouse new stamp previews!  You are in for SUCH a treat!  Claire has designed some gorgeous new sets that will be released on March 8th!

 

For my first card, I created a Spring colored circle card using the new set A Good Egg.  For my focal image, I used three images (the egg, the chick, and the sentiment banner).

I used the set again to create a pastel trio of 3 x 3 mini cards.  I used three different sentiments (all from the A Good Egg set).

Waltzingmouse Waltz - Gratitude...

 Good morning!  I'm waltzing along with the other Waltzingmouse Design Team ladies today!  We are showcasing our favorite (to date) set!

There are SO many Waltzingmouse sets that I could call my favorite...I truly couldn't choose just one!  Because I am really longing for some Spring like weather, I immediately went for the Vintage Garden Seed Packet set.  I adore how versatile this set is!

I combined several Prima patterned papers together along with a stamped border (using the Pic-Nic Patterns background set).  For some extra texture, I added some Crystal Glaze with glitter to the flowers.
