Just Give Me Stamps...

All Warm & Fuzzy...

If this butterfly looks a little fuzzy...that's because it is!!  I actually completed 3 different challenges...all with one card!  This butterfly card falls under yesterday's flock challenge (to use flocking on a card), Clear stamp challenge (to use only clear stamps), & today's Pink challenge (hostessed by Cambria...who loves pink :-).

There are a couple of ways to apply flock to your card.  The first is to use your 2-way glue pen and "color" in the area you want flock on and the second is to ink up your stamp in the glue pad.

An Easy Elegant Card...

This card was created for the "Easy Elegance" challenge hosted by NoTimeToStamp (that's her SCS username).  Let me tell you, she is the QUEEN of elegance!!!  If you get a chance, go see her gallery!

To me, nothing says elegance like the Cuttlebug Textile embossing folder, Prima flowers, & wire edged ribbon!  WooooWeeee!  This whole card consists of my favorite stuff!!!

I'm a *Sparkle* addict...

If you've been visiting here for a while, you already know this about me!  This card was made for Beate's Sketch Challenge (the Dirty Dares) and today's Ways to Use It challenge.  The Ways to Use It challenge was to use our favorite new items...well the only problem I had was choosing which ones..LOL!  I finally settled on the Glue pad from Tsukineko and Martha Stewart ultrafine glitter.  I couldn't stop there...hehehehee...I love patterned paper (and this one is no exception), and the new 5/8" grosgrain ribbon from Stampin' Up!  Oh, yeah...did I mention that I LOVE sparkle? 

The glue pad I mentioned earlier, is just like a regular stamp pad.  I "inked" my image up with it, then stamped it on Vanilla cardstock (that I had already stamped with the Canvas and Sanded background stamps) then sprinkled on the glitter.  After tapping off the excess glitter then I set it aside to dry for a couple of minutes.  That's it!!  No heat setting!

Here are the rest of today's Challenge cards!

I made this card for Sharon Harnist's Toile challenge.  We were to create our own "toile" background.  For this one, I first stamped the "flies" stamp in Always Artichoke on Very  Vanilla cardstock.  Then I stamped the Sanded  background in Always Artichoke on top of the flies.  After stamping the main image, I very lightly colored some of the items in using chalks.  I distressed the edges and sponged everything!  The final touch was adding a piece of Twill tape that I had already frayed the edges on.  Recipe   Stamps:  Angler, Sanded   Paper: Very Vanilla, Always Artichoke   Ink: Always Artichoke   Other: Twill tape, Stampin' Pastels, Pewter brads

This card was created for Jen DelMurro's Sketch challenge.  We were given a specific layout to use.  The only change I did was flip mine 90 degrees (it fit my images better).  The flower is embossed on Vellum cardstock (I love that stuff in case you haven't noticed :-)!  The patterned paper is some that I picked up yesterday (it is from AtoZ's Sweet Nothing collection).  And finally, that GORGEOUS decorative fabric brad is by none other than K & Co.

Lots of Challenges...

Stamping challenges that is!  Splitcoast is having a week-long "Dare to Get Dirty" challenge extravaganza to celebrate 3 years of the Splitcoast Fan Club!  To find out more about the Fan Club, click HERE.  There are several challenges posted daily, and all who are Fan Club members can participate!  Not only do you support Splitcoast when you become a Fan Club member...but you get to see THE most amazing artwork by none other than the Splitcoast Dirty Dozen (that is just a fun name for the 12 member design team).  It is SOOO amazing!  Well enough chattering...here is my first challenge card!  We were challenged to create a card using a lot of brads.  Well, I have a lot of brads!!!  LOL!

I know that I've used this fun flower punch to create similar cards, but I can't help myself...I think it's such a pretty effect!

I will try to post several of my challenge cards at one time, so as to try not to clutter up your email too much!  But...get prepared...I plan to do A LOT of stamping!  (Thanks so much Charlene for these fun smilies!!)

One other WAAAY exciting thing to tell you!  I went shopping with my mom and daughter yesterday....and got some really, really fun stuff!  I know, that's exciting for me...LOL...but here's the fun part for YOU:  I got some stuff to give away!!!  Be on the lookout the next couple of days for a few of *my favorite things* that I plan on giving away!  I will be back later today to post the other challenge cards!  ~Laurie
