I really can't believe how fast these last couple of months have gone! It's already the middle of August! Wow! This card is for today's Splitcoast Sketch Challenge.
I needed a sympathy card for someone that recently lost their mother, but as I sat down to stamp...I realized I don't have any "sympathy" stamps! This lady is an avid Gardener and mentioned to me that she is the most comforted when she is in her garden. So, I finally decided I would go with a garden theme and use the So Sorry sentiment from the Fancy Flexible Phrases set (it's a retired set). I chose colors that were soft and understated. I embossed the butterfly on Watercolor paper with Vanilla e.p. and then colored it in with my ink pads and a watercolor brush.
Try as I might, I can never seem to get a good picture at night. If I get a chance I will retake the picture in tomorrow's light.
Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you have a blessed day! ~Laurie
