I didn't forget about posting my Sweet & Simple Saturday card...really, I didn't! I just had such a mess in my stamp room that I had to clean it up first. Because I have such a small space, I rarely let it get this messy...otherwise there wouldn't be any room at all! So, with a clean stamp room, I was able to create this Christmas card. I normally like to keep my stampin time to under 15 minutes for these quick cards. This one, however, took just under 20 minutes. I think I could have done it faster, if I could have made up my mind on the colors! LOL!
I embossed the polka dots from Sweet Sampler in white on Certainly Celery cardstock. The main image, (from the Hostess set Perfect Presentation) was colored with Markers and punched out. The most time consuming part of this card was tracing around the Metal tag and cutting out the red cardstock. I could have "spruced" the image up by adding some glitter or Stickles in the center of the Poinsettia, but I had to remind myself that I was going "simple"! :-) This is a card that could easily be mass produced from Christmas cards...or any other occasion really (just change the colors and stamps).
I hope you all enjoy your Saturday! I'll be back first thing in the morning with something new! ~Laurie
