Happy Wednesday! Can you believe the week is half way over? You gotta love short weeks!!
When I first saw this whimsical elephant from the new Happy Heart Day set (Stampin' Up!), I couldn't help but think that a heart on the end of his trunk was just a little bit...odd. LOL! Don't get me wrong...I think this set is soooo cute! Then, while looking through my stamps I came across the set Short & Sweet...and it HIT me!! What this elephant really wants to be holding is some yummy cupcakes!! Heheheee! After seeing the sketch for today's Sketch Challenge, I knew this guy would be perfect for it!! Plus, it gave me the opportunity to use this super cute saying from Inkadinkado!!
I stamped the elephant image in Stazon and used some scraps of paper to mask off the wording above his head before stamping it. I then used various Classic ink pads to watercolor the images. I created a "plate" for the cupcakes out of some little scraps of paper. Last (but definitely not least LOL!) I added Stickles to the butterfly's wings and rhinestones to the cupcakes!
I will be back tomorrow to share share something new! Have a wonderful evening! ~Laurie
