Happy Tuesday! Today's Color Challenge (over at SCS) is to use Soft Sky, Blue Bayou, & Real Red. What a fun color combo!!
I wanted a soft and "wispy" feel...so I started with a Vellum cardstock card base. I layered on some Whisper White and Soft Sky Prints DP. For the circles, I cut/embossed the Vellum scalloped circle and the Soft Sky circle with my Nestabilities.
For the hearts, I stamped the larger outline stamp (from Verve Visual's newly released Heart to Heart set) in Soft Sky ink onto Whisper White c.s. and cut it out. I layered the smaller heart (that had been stamped and cut out) on top of the outline one using Stampin' Dimensionals. I have to tell you about the small little "pearls" that I created by using Liquid Pearls. I saw my friend Tosh use them like this and LOVED the look! You can see the card she used them on HERE. I used my Crop-a-dile to set the large Decorative Brad in the bottom right part of the circle, then ran Soft Sky dbl. Stitched ribbon through it . Lastly, I added a couple of red Rhinestones (I got these from Verve Visual) for a little splash of color.
I'm off to take the kids to see a concert in town. It's not often that our small town gets wonderful musicians like Eric Bibb to come and perform! Woohoo! I hope you all enjoy your day! ~Laurie
