Happy Friday! There is so much going on today...the new Dirty Dozen Gallery is up over at Splitcoast (a BIG congrats to Amy Sheffer and Cindy Lawrence - the two newest Dirty Girls!!!), and the release day for FOUR brand new stamp sets from Our Daily Bread Designs!
I have several projects made that I will be sharing with you over the next few days...but I wanted to showcase a set today that is just really close to my heart. When Kelley (owner of ODBD) gave us a peek at the new sets...especially this new Hope set, I was beside myself with excitement! You see, both my grandmother and mother have both battled with Breast Cancer. I am so thankful that they both were treated successfully...but it has given me an "inside" view of the struggle that so many (too many, actually) women and their families go through on a daily basis. Although my grandmother has since passed away (from an unrelated cause), my mother continues to be "in remission"...a term we have come to LOVE! Through it all, she remained strong and full of hope. I personally believe that hope is part of what gives us the strength to go through trials like these...and that is why I love this set so much! It is so full of...well, hope! :-)
Here is a journal that I made with the Hope set. I will be sending this...along with a few other items I've made to my mom. Now that she is not living a few miles down the road from us...I am grateful to have a set that I can make handmade cards and notes for her with...that will hopefully not only encourage her, but remind her how far she has come!
AND...what should she use to write in her pink journal? Well, a pink pen of course! :-) Here is the pen that I will be sending to her as well! Isn't it cute?!! It came in the "Hope Pack" (pictured below). This Hope Pack is FREE with every order of the Hope stamp set!!
