If you've visited the Verve Stamps Forum over at Splitcoast, then you know about the "Beautiful You" commemorative set. It is such an amazing stamp set...one that I am so proud to be a small part of! :-) Julee asked each of the Design Team members (a.k.a. Verve Divas :-) to send her our favorite quote or saying with a short explanation of why it's so meaningful to us. She compiled each of our quotes and made a special stamp set out of them! Of course, I couldn't wait to use "my" quote...but I have to tell you...ALL of the quotes are wonderful! This is definitely a set that I will cherish for a long time!
The quote that I chose is: "No winter lasts forever, no spring skips its turn" by Hal Borland. Here is why it is meaningful to me: I first saw this quote while I was going through a very hard “winter” time in my life. It spoke such hope and encouragement to me then…and it still does today. (On a practical side…from October to May I am constantly having to remind myself of this simple truth…as Montana is known for its long winters). No matter how long or cold a winter…spring really has always come.

I first set out to create a card as my sample...but I really wanted something more permanent to display in my home...something that would give that same hope that I received from it to others.
This frame has an eclectic mix of a lot of my favorite things: patterned paper, swirls and flourishes, VELLUM :-), flowers, buttons, rhinestones, scalloped Nestabilities, and ribbon!
I know...a LOT of posts today! But new stamps are always a good thing! ;-) Speaking of new stamps...Our Daily Bread also has a new release coming up...so stay tuned for some "peeks" from those sets! :-)
