I can't believe it's Saturday already! This week has flown by for me! Seriously...it feels like it should be Wednesday!! LOL! I'm not complaining...because I love the weekends! :-) Saturday is such a relaxing day (normally) for me, as the kids just want to play all day. Happy and contented kids equal a relaxing day! LOL! Saturday also means a new Our Creative Corner challenge...and this week it's a sketch challenge!
I couldn't help myself...I made yet another Christmas card! I have to admit, the patterned paper I used is a bit "un-conventional" (it's from the Basic Grey Eva Collection), but I thought it went perfectly with this Cherub Tree Trio stamp (by Stampendous). I did soften the patterned paper a bit with some vellum cardstock. I matted it with Light Pink Prism c.s. and Medium Herbal Garden Prism c.s.. I used my Ornare piercing template for the top, and then added some Soft Pink Rhinestones (by Kaiser Craft) as accents. I couldn't stop embellishing (I think it's a disorder or something :-), so I added some Frosted Lace Stickles to the Cherub's wings, and some light pink grosgrain ribbon. The sentiment (from Penny Black's Crystalline set) is embossed directly on the vellum with Ivory e.p.
After I finish up a project that I'm working on, I will be posting my retired stamps list. I had hoped to post it earlier in the week, but like I said above...this week just flew by! :-) I'll let you know when it's up!
The samples the other OCC designers created for this sketch are nothing short of gorgeous...so you will definitely want to check them out!! I hope you have a fabulous weekend! ~Laurie
