Happy Thursday!! I am SO excited to share today's project with you! You know how sometimes you have a project that just comes together exactly how you pictured it...and not only that but everything seems to go "right" while creating it? Well, it doesn't happen very often for me...but this time it did! I'll explain more about that in a minute...
First, I want to tell you about a new monthly challenge the Stamper's Dream Design Team is doing! The second Thursday of every month there will be a new "Stamper's Dream Dreamy Challenge"...and we'd love it if you played along!! (Did I mention that there will be a PRIZE?) :-) This month's challenge is to use glitter (who doesn't love glitter??)! Well, my love for all things sparkly is a pretty well-known fact...so this was an easy one for me! Not only did I get to use glitter...but Michelle just got this WAY cool product in called Stick With It (by Doodlebug). It is like double sided tape...but in gorgeous shapes and swirls!! All I had to do is peel it off the sheet, stick it on my card, peel off the top part, and sprinkle with glitter! I LOOOOOVE it!!! (The fact that it is covered in glitter is even better LOL!!) You can use flock, mini beads, and other mediums as well...but none of those sparkle like glitter! Teehehee!
Well...on to my project. I was so inspired by my friend Tosh's Hot Cocoa Purse, that I just had to try something similar! I found these packets of gourmet Hot Cocoa mix...and thought they would fit nicely into a card/box type of holder. I used some Winterberry patterned paper layered with Herbal Green Light Prism c.s. as my base. I then added some Bon Bon Sugar Coating glitter (by Doodlebug) to the Stick With It swirls. I just couldn't stop adding glitter...so I pressed a white felt snowflake into my glue pad and then sprinkled it with the same Bon Bon glitter! I have to tell you, I was so pleased with the end result of this I think I really did squeal out loud!! Heheheee! I used my new Winter's Butterfly set (by Hero Arts) to stamp the top, bottom, and inside (see last picture). I stamped the focal image using the new Baking Ensemble set by JustRite Stampers.
In this close-up photo, you can see the white Liquid Applique I added to the whipped cream as well as getting a better view of that yummy glitter! :-D
