Happy Sunday! I've got several items to show you...all with newly released stamps and supplies from Taylored Expressions!
The first project I'll share with you, is an altered purse (by Kaiser Craft)...and and OMGosh, this was SO much fun to make!! It comes unassembled...which makes it much easier to alter...and is completely FREE when you purchase The Special Lady bundle (you can read about all the details Taylor's blog)! When finished, there are two compartments to store little treasures or package a fun gift in. Here is a picture of the purse finished...
All I did was paint the edges with white acrylic paint (the parts that wouldn't be covered with paper), then covered the individual pieces with patterned paper. My favorite part of the purse is that scalloped piece...and so I had to decorate it with some bling....I just had to! :-) The only *problem* I had with this purse...was weather to keep it or give it away!! I could just picture this darling thing on my stamp desk, holding some of my most used tools! Then, as soon as my daughter spied it, she was already staking her claim to it (saying it would be perfect in her room to hold her perfume and lip gloss)! I was TORN, I tell you!! Fortunately, I was in need of a birthday gift...so my "non-greedy" side won out!! ROFLOL!!
I bought some pedicure supplies and packaged this up for a friend. I love that it is a pretty package...but also functional for later!
Now, for my cards... If you know me at all, you will know how much I adore making Love Notes!! (Love Notes are just miniature cards measuring 3 x 3). When I saw these two individual flowers in the new Fresh Flowers set, I knew I wanted to use them on a Love Note set! They are fun to color, but small enough to make a lot of cards in a short amount of time (I made 9 cards -three of each design- in the time it would take to make one card)!
I started by choosing three colors, some neutral papers (I chose Kraft, Black, and White Choice c.s.) and tried to keep some of the elements the same for each card.
This birthday card is probably the simplest of all three...but I think it just might be my favorite!!
For this thank you card (btw...all of the sentiments and flowers used on these cards are from the new Fresh Flowers set), I stitched the "stems" for the flowers. You can barely see it, but I added just a wee bit of Stardust Stickles to the flowers. :-)
Instead of adding Stickles to the centers of these flowers...I went with some pink rhinestones.
