Oh my gosh...I have been so excited about this project for a while now! Actually, the idea for this project came to me just as soon as I saw the new Just Rite products at CHA last January! I love recipes...I'm kind of what you would call a "recipe junkie" in fact! LOL! There are though, certain recipes that are better made in particular seasons (like Strawberry Almond Spinach Salad - trust me it's delicious!! - is usually better in the Spring and Summer, while I like to make my Pumpkin Chocolate Chip cookies more in the Fall and Winter). Because my daughter is now showing interest in cooking, I wanted to create a little keepsake box with my favorite recipes just for Spring and Summer!
I used the new Recipe Borders and Centers (by JustRite) and paired it with the new My Mind's Eye paper (from the Bloom & Grow - "Grow" Collection). Aren't these color just fresh and Spring-y? :-) The beautiful shiny Teal organdy ribbon is from May Arts (they also debuted some goooooorgeous new ribbons at CHA :-).
I made the box large enough to hold 5 different categories (although there are 9 different ones in the Recipe stamp set), and quite a few regular white lined index cards. I chose: Appetizers, Salad & Sides, Main Dishes, Breads, & Desserts (of course hehehehee!).
Here you can see the dividers I created...
Here is a bit of a side view...so you can see the dimensions better. I DO have a tutorial coming...hopefully I can get it up later today. I seem to have caught the stomach flu that my boys had... :-(
I hope you are getting lots of ideas on ho you can use your JustRite stamps! This JustRite week has been so much fun! You should definitely not miss what Cindy,Kim, & Michelle have created! Tomorrow Cammie, Kim, & Michelle will have some more JustRite inspiration for you! Also, you still have time to enter to win Michelle's Dreamy Treats!!
Thanks for stopping by! ~Laurie
