Happy Saturday! Yesterday kicked off the sneak peeks for Taylor's new release! Sorry I missed posting...I came down with a really bad case of the stomach flu...yuck! I'm starting to feel like a person again, and just had to pop in here and share with you what I've created with Taylor's new stamps! :-)
Today, the Baker's Dozen DT is sharing peeks of this SUPER CUTE new set called "Downtown Diva"! I chose to create a circular card...inspired by the flourishy flower stamp! I used my Stamp-a-ma-Jig to stamp it repeatedly around the edge of my white c.s. circle, then colored them in with my Copics. The purses and pretty Cuppie were colored with Copics as well, but I added some Crystal Effects to the purses (see picture below). I couldn't resist adding some Taylor's Tiny Twinkles in the centers of all the flowers...they were just begging for them!
My project that I had ready to show you yesterday, uses the new Fresh Flowers set (from the Whimsical Wishes Line). I chose to use the Window stamp, so that I could have the windows actually open and reveal a bouquet of beautiful flowers! I purposely kept the card simple in design...I wanted all the focus on the window and flowers. :-)
I chose a soft and subtle patterned paper for the background (included in the Mother's Day Key Ingredients Kit). I added some Kaiser Craft rhinestones (also included in the Mother's Day K.I. Kit) to the window for "handles" as well as elsewhere on the card for balance. :-) Lastly, I put just a little bit of Frosted Lace Stickles on the windows...I couldn't help myself really, I just love sparkle! :-)
Once I had my Stickles out, I really couldn't stop...LOL! I added some Stardust Stickles to the flowers inside the window.
Tomorrow, both of these new sets (along with the Mother's Day Key Ingredients Kit) will be available for purchase...and I will be back to share some more samples! For more inspiration, you can check out what the other DT members have created: Ana Wohlfahrt, Charmaine Ikach, Dawn Easton, Denise Marzec, Donna Baker, Jen del Muro, Jodi Collins, Karen Giron, Karen Motz, Laura Fredrickson, Sankari Wegman, and Taylor!
Have a wonderful Saturday! ~Laurie
