A JustRite Gift Set...

Happy Tuesday!  This week the Stamper's Dream team is having a JustRite week (where we show projects that we've made with JustRite products), and today is one of my days to share with you what I've made!  :-)

You all probably know how much I love the Love Notes sized cards (they measure 3" x 3")...they are the perfect size to give away as gifts!  We know someone in our church who has volunteered to help out in the nursery, and has continued to do so for many years.  Having four kids, we have gotten to know her pretty well.  :-)  As you can imagine, it is not always the funnest place to be...but she always wore a smile and seemed genuinely happy to see our children.  Well, I wanted to make her a little "something" to say thank you, so I created a "love note" gift set using the new JustRite 1 3/16" Damask set.

 

I used Lauren Meader's Rounded Wrap-Up Template to create the box.  I filled the decorated box with  six matching love notes (and envelopes) and as many little Hershey Bliss Creamy Milk Chocolates as I could fit in there.  :-)

 

This is one of the two love note designs.  I created the scored diamond background using my Scor-Pal.

Admittedly...

...this card is pretty busy!  I do like to mix patterns, but I went a little crazy...even for me!  :-)  But, that is what my daughter loves...bright fun patterns that are mixed and matched.  Ali is going on a week long summer camp adventure. I made this card to slip into her suitcase (for her to find later).  She is SUCH an amazing person...and I'm going to miss her terribly!!  (I know, it's only a week...but I miss her already!!)  :-)

 

I used the Under the Stars set (Stampin' Up!) and some October Afternoon patterned paper (I think OA is quickly becoming my favorite paper).  The buttons are actually Papertrey Ink Dark Chocolate buttons.  I don't know why, but all my brown buttons (and sometimes the ribbons) look black in my pictures.

Hello Baby...

Good morning!  Charmaine, a very sweet friend and fellow Stamper's Dream team mate, is soon to be a new mommy again!!  Woohoooo!!!!  I just LOVE making baby cards!  I can't think of a happier occasion in which to make a card! 

 

I went with one of my all time favorite styles...a little bit vintage.  :-)  I used the onesie and flower (it's stamped on the gingham patterned paper) from the Baby set from Rubber Soul.  The bottom Ivory c.s. piece is embossed using the Swiss Dots Cuttlebug folder.  I "aged" the card by sponging on some Antique Linen Distress ink (hands down my favorite sponging ink ever!!)!  I adhered the onesies so that it would look like they were hung on a laundry line (that's why there are little clothespins there LOL!!).  I also added some heart rhinestones to the onesies...every little girl needs a little bling, right?  :-)

Welcome Baby...

There’s a new little baby Diva almost here and today we’re celebrating with a surprise shower hop!  So come along with us and do the hop, hop, hop to help celebrate the arrival of Charmaine’s new little oodabug!  This shindig started at the Verve Stamps blog, so if you’ve just happened along, be sure to hop on over there to start from the beginning!

     

   

Here's my little card I made for Charmaine's sweet baby girl.  And when I say little...well, I really mane "little"!!  I used the largest die from the Blossom Nestabilities set for the card base (well, I'll show you a picture of the inside in a minute so you can see the actual opening part) and it measures 3 3/4" in diameter.  The flowers are made from Stampin' Up!'s Birds & Blooms Sizzlits die set.  I created the tag using the Family Phrases set from Verve Stamps.    

I created the card opening by using one of my Circle Nestabilities die (I chose to make it slightly smaller than the outside Blossom so it doesn't show from the front).  Tip:  score and fold your cardstock, then place the circle die on top leaving just a little bit of the fold showing.

Teapot Hello...

Hi!  Well, the room is coming along nicely!  DH hasn't been feeling well, but has managed to finish the floor!  We now just need to add the trim!  Woohoo!  Soon, I will be able to get all of my stamping and schooling supplies out of the living room (and dining room LOL)! 

Here's a card that I made last week... 

I just love it when cards come together quickly...and turn out exactly how I had envisioned them (that's actually a rare thing for me)!  I have completely fallen in love with Papertrey's Guide Lines II (here, I used it to create the background)...I had a beautiful background in no time using my Versamark and White craft ink pads!  The teapot and sentiment are both embossed using white detail embossing powder.  The focal layer was created using a Quick Kutz template.

The kids and I are actually out of town right now...but we should be back in a few days!  Hope you all are having a wonderful week!  :-)
