Today, Verve released seven brand new sets and 2 new Plain Janes!! The release party was hoppin' and a good time was had by all! Just in case you didn't make it to the party, I will share some of the cards I made with the new stamps here...
I used the new Budding Blossoms set and To Risk Plain Jane sets on this card. Sometimes I think I have no control over my urge to distress my cards... LOL!
ETA: I got an email from my fellow Verve Diva Amy this morning saying that she felt bad that the tea card she made used the same colors as the one I did...(Yes, she really is THAT nice in real life!). Well, as it would turn out, she made another card (her sample for Jen's Sketch For You to Try) but before she posted it she saw this blog post and it turns out that we used the SAME patterned paper! She felt bad, but I tell ya I jumped for JOY!!! Imagine, being on the same "creative wavelength" as Amy!!!! Wooohooo!! So, go check her card out (it's the second card)...it's GORGEOUS!!! Our cards may share the same paper, but they are still very different. Amy, you have such a unique and completely AMAZING style...and not only that but you are such a woman of character! I'm honored to call you friend!
On this card, I used the FABULOUS new Delightful & Delicious set as well as the versatile Bountiful Backgrounds set! The sketch is from Julee's Anni-Verve-sary sketches that she posted in the Verve Forum this past week.
One last card from me today... This simple but fun card was made using the new Time to Party set (and my new go-to set Bountiful Backgrounds)! The polka dots were stamped in Versamark directly onto the Kraft c.s. The sentiment is embossed (using Black detail e.p.)...I just like the way embossing stands out more, especially for sentiments. Oh, and I had to add some sparkle to those balloons... LOL!
I hope you are having a wonderful weekend!! We're supposed to be getting SNOW soon (**sob**), so I think the kids and I (DH is headed back up to the Forest to finish up a fence) are going to try and spend all day outside and enjoy what's left of the warm weather...while we can!! Hmmm, I think that may be a record for the longest run on sentence ever! Even for me!! Heehehee! ~Laurie
