Hooray for Friday!!  :-)  Even though our weekend is going to be a busy one, I am still looking forward to a bit more of a relaxed schedule.  :-)

Today is the last day of Waltzingmouse sneak peeks...which leads up to tomorrow's New Release Blog Waltz!

I couldn't put down my Asian Gardens set!  This time, I decided to go more clean and simple.  Well, as clean and simple as I can do!  Teeheehee!  After embossing the bird using Detail Black embossing powder onto Vintage Cream c.s., I used one of my circle Nestabilities to create the embossed circle.  The smaller circles were made by punching circles out of an embossed pieces of Vintage Cream c.s. (I used the Script Cuttlebutg folder).

I had the Fly a Kite patterned paper pad (by October Afternoon) still sitting out on my desk, and after flipping through it quickly I decided that this pretty blue pattern would be perfect for what I had in mind!

Hi again!  Check me out...posting more than once a week!  LOL!!  Actually, I'm back to share another peek of another upcoming Waltzingmouse set!  

  

The moment I first laid eyes on this set (the soon to be released Asian Gardens), I was immediately drawn to the two birdhouse images!  I just love that Claire included an empty one!  I thought how perfect these would be together for unique graduation cards!  So, that is exactly what I created!  :-)

I was worried at first that the recipient wouldn't understand, but when I showed it to my 11 year old son (who is VERY literal...a black and white kind of guy if you will) and he not only understood the meaning but said he liked it!  I tell ya, I have the best kids!!!  :-)

Okay...on to the card deets.  I used Crate Paper patterned paper.  The sentiment tag was created by stamping the "Good Luck" sentiment (included in the Asian Gardens set) onto some coordinating patterned paper and then punching it out using my 1" circle punch.  For embellishments, I added some rhinestones, a button, twill, and some button twine.

All eight of the new sets will be released on Saturday, May 1st!  Every day until then, there will be plenty of peeks for you to see ending with a new release Blog Waltz (a Blog Hop done Waltzingmouse style!)!

Wow!  Is it Wednesday already?  Is it just me or are the days flying by?  And while I'm on this subject...where has April gone??  Sheesh!!  :-)

Did you all see the Waltzingmouse Stamps sneak peeks yesterday?  This is going to be one FABULOUS release!!  Claire has got eight (yes, EIGHT) new sets all ready to be released on May 1st!

Today, I'm sharing a project that I made with the soon to be released Fancy Phrases set!  I LOVE this new set!  And, I really like how my card turned out!  (Is that o.k. to say out loud??)  LOL! 

After embossing the ornate frame and sentiment, I carefully trimmed around it.  I layered it over one of the swirls from the Artisan Elements collection (by Pink Paislee) and added some pearls.  The patterned paper is from a DCWV stack (Rustic) that I picked up last week (they were 40% off at JoAnn's). 

A little enabler alert...  Claire is offering FREE SHIPPING (with an approximate $77 dollar minimum order) for two days only (May 1st and May 2nd)!  Claire's shipping rates are extremely reasonable (so for those of you worried about international shipping...you shouldn't be!!), but hey - free shipping is free shipping!!  Gotta love that!

Before I go, I wanted to share a picture I took on our back porch yesterday evening.  Now, keep in mind, things are JUST now starting to green up...so there is still a lot of brown.  It's been raining here though, and the rainbow that came was absolutely breathtaking!!  I don't think I've ever seen one so vivid in color!  And no, I did not doctor this photo at all!!  (Well, I cropped and resized it... but that doesn't count!)  LOL!

 

Oh...just in case you were wondering, no my lens is not dirty!  That's the rain coming down!!  :-)

Happy Monday!  Well, it's almost Tuesday, but still I hope your Monday was a good one!  :-)

 Today I have a bright and fun card to share with you!  :-)

 
I'm not sure what's up with all this orange I'm using lately...honestly it's normally a color I just don't care for!  I think it's been growing on me though, because as soon as I saw this wonderful patterned paper (from the new Fly a Kite line by October Afternoon) I had to cut right into it!  :-) Note:  I see  that Michelle is out of the Fly a Kite collection but she is expecting more Tuesday evening!  Yay!

After I had my paper decided upon, I reached for this sweet little Bird with Cage set (from Maya Road).  For the sentiment, I quickly painted some Olivia Mini Alphabet chipboard letters with some cream colored acrylic paint then topped them off with some Stardust Stickles (you know I love me some bling :-).  To finish it off, I added some embellishments, stitching, and ribbon.

Cupcakes, Smiles, & A Really Cute Box...

Hi there!  I wanted to share a fun little project I created a while ago using the new Click Simple Artisan Window Box Template! 

If you aren't familiar with Papertrey's Click Simple templates, they are downloadable templates that come complete with step by step instructions and several full color project ideas!  And this one in particular (the Artisan Window Box Template) is one of my all time faves!!

I printed the lid template onto the new Hawaiian Shores cardstock, and the base onto Kraft cardstock.  I just love that they can be printed on different sheets allowing me to mix and match colors!  :-)

I stamped one of the background stamps from the Tin Types set on the box lid as well as on each of the five little 3 x 3 cards I created to go in the box.

Aren't those cupcakes SWEET (they are from the Cupcake Collection set)???  :-)   After stamping them onto Stamper's Select White C.S., I covered the top of the cupcake with adhesive and sprinkled on some glitter!  For embellishments, I added some buttons tied up with some Rustic Jute Twine.

Here's a close-up of the front of the box.  I just adore the fancy cutout!!  Also hidden inside the box (along with the 3 x 3 cards) is some matching Kraft envelopes!
