Christmas Wishes...

Christmas in July?  Yep, it's true!  I have officially gotten my Christmas card making into full swing!  YEAH!!  Actually, I can't take all of the credit for my early start.  :-)  It was the Waltzingmouse Sketch #8 (found on the Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge Blog) that sparked the idea for this card! 

 
I started by stamping one of the background images from Pic-Nic Patterns onto the Kraft background layer using white pigment ink.  I chose to add this cuuuuuute gingerbread man (from the Oven Fresh Gingerbread Joy set) in the place of the large flower from the sketch (you can see the sketch HERE).  For the smaller circles, I added buttons and embossed stars.  (The star image as well as the sentiment are also from the Oven Fresh Gingerbread Joy set from Waltzingmouse Stamps.)

Waltzingmouse New Release Blog Waltz...

For my card, I used the new Wanda's Pantryset.  I love how Claire's sets fit perfectly with my beloved Nestabilities (this card uses the Nesabilities Labels 4)! 

The patterned paper is from Cosmo Cricket...and I grunged it up a bit to look even more "spooky"!  :-)

Groovy Snowman Card Ensemble...

Hi again!  I know, two posts in one day...I'm on fire!  LOL!!  If you are here to see my Waltzingmouse Stamps Day 3 Preview, scroll down or click HERE.

The other day, I was in the mood for creating some more Christmas projects (it's always better to start early :-) so I reached for my Groovy Snowman set (by JustRite Stampers).

 

This first picture shows the packaging I created for my little 4" notecards (and matching envelopes).  I used paper from the same collection (My Mind's Eye) for the whole ensemble.

I started by stamping each of the four snowmen (and snowgirls) images (all are from the Groovy Snowman set from JustRite Stampers) onto Kraft cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink.  I colored the images in with my Copics (the white on the snowmen is actually a "paint" from Copic).

 
I stitched around the patterned paper (and on some cards I did some "messy" stitching) for some added texture.

 
I used the same snowflake Cuttlebug embossing folder for each of the cards.  After running the kraft background layer through my Cuttlebug, I rubbed on some Vintage Cream pigment ink.

 
I varied the embellishments a little bit from card to card, but they all have the same lace and Vanilla taffeta ribbon.

I Dare You...

Monday again?  How did that happen?  :-)  Is it just me, or is your summer flying by as well?  Anyway, we're on day 3 of the Waltzingmouse Stamps previews, and I've whipped up a fun little project to share with you!

 
 
I used the Midnight Feast set to create a slider type of box that is filled with some old-fashioned candy sticks!  The focal image and sentiment are both embossed using Black Detail embossing powder onto some lined patterned paper.  I wanted to tie in the purple a bit more, so I stamped the stars (also included in the Midnight Feast set) using Dusty Concord Distress Ink.
   

Don't you just love that sentiment?  Aaack!  It totally cracks me up!  See that little black tab at the bottom of the box?  That's a small piece of ribbon I adhered to the inside of the box to act a sort of "pull" for the box.

 

As you can see, I pulled my colors I used on the packaging from the candy sticks.  :-)

I also stamped the stars on the gray cardstock using black ink.  So fun!!

...It's my birthday too, yeah!  Well, actually it's NOT my birthday too...but it IS Julee Tilman's (owner of Verve Stamps) birthday!!  Woohoooo!

For my card, I combined one of the medallion images from the Accent Notes set with one of the sentiments from the Big Wish set.  Some patterned paper, ribbon, embellishments and a punched border later my card was finished!  :-)
