Just Give Me Stamps...

End of Year Thank You Cards...

Hooray for Friday!  All of the end of year craziness has officially begun!  :-)  Well, it's actually been going on all month long, but the next week will be CRAZY!  Today D and I are going along on a field trip with J & B's school.  We will be visiting a commercial dairy and then the Idaho Falls Zoo!  Should be a fun trip!  D has really been lost this year without his big brothers home, and I do believe he is counting down the days until he starts Kindergarten int he Fall!  :-)

Anyway, I thought I'd share a couple of cards I made for our school's Booster Club to use as thank you cards.

This first card is for the lady that drives the school bus.  She is SUCH a sweet person and really does so much for our kids!

I used Crate Paper patterned paper and Chipboard (both from the School Spirit Collection) along with Papertrey's Star Prints set.  I put a thank you sentiment on the inside but forgot to take a picture of it.  :-)

This second card (made for the track coach) uses the same papers, chipboard, and stamp set.

Never Forgotten...

Hi again!  It is with a sad heart that I share this post with you today.  A friend of our family passed away recently leaving behind a wife, children, and grandchildren.  I have always tried to avoid making sympathy cards (I mean, who would want to make them).  But when the people are dear to your heart, nothing will do except a handmade card...

When I am in need of a sympathy card, I always turn to Verve's Never Forgotten set.  I adore the images and  lovely sentiments in it. 

I also used some new paper (from Bo Bunny's Gabrielle Collection), some new Spellbinders dies, crinkle ribbon, and a Prima flower (with some rhinestones thrown in for good measure).

A Very Perky Plant...

Good morning! After a cold couple of days (we woke up to snow yesterday), the sun is shining and it again reminds me that winter is finally wrapping up!  Yay!  :-)

Today I'm sharing a card that was featured on the Paper Smooches Blog yesterday!

I dare you to not smile when you look at this flower!  :-)  What better way to spread a little happiness? 

I made this using the Perky Plants set from Paper Smooches!  It's no secret...I definitely have a little love affair with pink goin' on lately!  Teeheheee! 

You probably can't tell from this photo, but I put some Glossy Accents on the watering can.  You know...just for fun!  :-)

May Friends of Waltzingmouse Blog Waltz...

 

Hello!  Today is the 17th, and that means it's time for the monthly Friends of Waltzingmouse Blog Waltz!  This month's theme is masculine...which is a GREAT thing because my masculine card stash is running low!  :-)  For info on how you can participate, head on over to the Waltzingmouse Forum!

The thing that I love most about the sentiments in the Back in the Saddle set, is that they are large enough to stand alone on a card!  That's a great thing when you want to mass produce of make a card in a hurry!  :-) 

After embossing my sentiment, I added a minimal amount of embellishments (stitching, twine, and a star die cut).

Happy Graduation...

Good morning!  How was your weekend?  We spent ours taking it easy...catching up on some reading and relaxing!  :-) 

Lately, I've been trying to challenge myself to not just reach for all the new products that have landed in my stamp room :-), but to use some of my older treasures as well!  This card is the result of one of those self imposed challenges...

 

I combined some October Afternoon (Thrift Shop Collection) with some rhinestones, Petaloo flower, and a sentiment from Verve's Dare to Be set!
