Just Give Me Stamps...

Friends...

Hi!  How was your weekend?  Ours was filled with family and fun!  It's not often that my DH's family from Switzerland gets to visit, so when they do we really enjoy it!  DH's cousin and his family are here for a few days and it's been so much fun catching up with them (and for our kids to get know each other better)!  I have to say, I am the luckiest girl...my DH has THE most amazing family members! 

Before I head back out to the hay field, I thought I would quick change up the scenery here on the blogaroo...  I have several cards in my photos file that I haven't yet shared so I thought today would be the perfect day to share one of them!  :-)

This card is a "I feel like using up my scraps" kind of card.  LOL!  Actually, aside from the card base, everything on this card is from my scrap bin!  Buttons that I had sitting around (rejected from other cards), fabric tags from Kaisercraft, and even the patterned paper...all from my scrap bin!  Woot!

Well, that's all form me!  I have found out that they hay does not rake and bale itself....darn it!  LOL!

Lovely, Lovely Glitz...

Hi friends!  I love it when it's my turn to share some Glitz projects with you!  Both of my cards feature one of my favorite Glitz products...Whatnots!  I have to admit, as a stamper I was a little intimidated by these at first.  I have always thought them to be absolutely beautiful, but just wasn't sure how to use them on my cards.  Once I started using them I was hooked!  I couldn't believe how quickly I could create gorgeous, intricate looking cards! 

My first card features product from the classy French Kiss collection.  I started by cutting out some hexagon shapes (I used my Silhouette Cameo) to create my background layer.  I then spritzed some Antique Gold spray.  I also brushed on some ivory acrylic paint to most of the layers.  Once I adhered the Whatnot, I added a Glitzer, Layered Cardstock Sticker, ribbon, flowers, and rhinestones.

For my next card, I used product from both the Pretty in Pink and Beautiful Dreamer Collections.  Again, I used a Whatnot (I actually used two different ones here) and Layered Cardstock Sticker for my focal images.  I just added some assorted embellishments to finish the card.

The Diva Dare is Back!

Hi there!  It's back!  The Diva Dare is back!  :-)  It's my turn to share how I answered this month's Dare.  You can check out all the details over at the Verve Blog (there is some FREE Verve up for grabs...just sayin')!

I just loved this month's theme - Birthdays!  I am always in need of birthday cards so I didn't stop after I created my first birthday card...I had so much fun that I created three!

To start, I cut out a cupcake shape using my Silhouette and some patterned paper (from the Happy Travels Collection by Glitz Design) and pink cardstock.  To finish the card, I embossed a sentiment (form the Sunny Days set by Verve) and some stamped leafy Sprigs (also from the Sunny Days set and cut out with the Leafy Sprigs die).

My second card was also cut out using my Silhouette - this time in the shape of a birthday cake.  The patterned paper is from the Nostalgia paper pad by My Mind's Eye.  The stamped focal image was created using stamps form the Making a Statement set and the Rounded Rectangle and Loopy Blooms dies.

My third card, this time in the shape of a gift box, features the Birthday Bash set.  Here on the front, I stamped a border of starts along the bottom of the box.

The inside (or the insert, actually) also features the Birthday Bash set.  :-)

Hello Friend...

Hi again!  Like I mentioned yesterday, I'm back today sharing a card I created with some new Waltzingmouse Stamps and the Sunnyside paper pad (by Pebbles)!

This time, I used the new Big Berries - Strawberry set (available for pre-order now).  I covered the strawberry with some chunky glitter and added several little rhinestones scattered around.

Spread a Little Happiness...

Hi there!  With the last Waltzingmouse Stamps release, Claire also added a couple of sets that are available for pre-order!  Have you seen them yet?  Both the Jar Fillers - Jam Packed and Big Berries - Strawberry sets can be ordered now and will start shipping in mid July.

For my card, I used the new Jar Fillers - Jam Packed set.  What a super fun set!  I can see myself using this for Christmas presents this year as well as cards!  So fun!  The papers are from the Pebbles Sunnyside paper pack!  Again, I had so much fun with these papers and stamps that I created another card that I will share with you tomorrow!  :-)
