My card today features the new Borderline stamp set along with the Coordinating Mini Vintage Oval die set!  As soon as I saw this new set, I knew that I would be using the little row of x's...a LOT!  They look just like hand stitches!  I LOVE them!!  :-)  It's also fun to have some mini sentiment frames...and the dies to match!  Such a great and all-season set!  Oh, and the chevron image at the bottom...yeah, that's from the new Borderline set as well!  It's a sweet set I tell ya!

Waltzingmouse New Release Preview Day 3...

It's day three of the August Waltzingmouse New Release Preview Posts!  Have you been enjoying the peeks of the new sets so far?  Today, the design team is sharing peeks of the following new sets:  Little Lanterns, Bright Season, and Light of the World Sentiments!

On my card I used the lantern, candle, wick, light rays, & leaves from the new Bright Season set.  I swooned when I saw Claire's new lanterns!  They are so detailed and gorgeous!  I also love how the different elements (candle, light rays, flame, etc.) are separate stamps as they make it so easy to create multi colored scenes! 

These lanterns reminded me so much of my husband's home in Switzerland.  I first met his parents the Christmas before we got married and I still remember (and love) all of the decorations (especially the decorated lanterns) they displayed!  So, naturally, I thought of them when making this card and used the German Christmas greeting from the Nutcracker Sweet set!

For some added detail, I embossed the large doily from the Dainty Doilies 2 - Small set on bottom layer.  It's hard to see them in this photo, but the holly berries are actually rhinestones that I "painted" to match using my Copic Markers.  I also added the tiniest dab of Diamond Stickles to the base of the flame...just enough to sparkle a bit.

Soft & Feminine Glitz Cards...

Hi there!  It's my turn to share some Glitz cards!  I think one of my favorite things about the different Glitz Collections is that there are so many different coordinating products!  It's no secret that I adore the Whatnots (I used one on my first card), but the new Layered Stickers are equally wonderful.  Oh, and the Epoxy Words, Giant Rhinestones, and Glitzers (I could never leave out the Glitzers!) are all fun as well!  My only problem is deciding which embellishments to use!  :-)

It might be hard to tell from the photo, but I layered some stitched circles in a zig zag pattern on top of a Pretty in Pink Paper Layer.

For my second card, I grunged up background by stamping directly onto the patterned paper and then dry brushed on some ivory acrylic paint.  I then added some more patterned paper (strips of striped Happy Travels paper), a Cardstock Sticker, a Layered Sticker, and an epoxy heart (from the Epoxy Words).

For my card today, I used the new Learning to Sail set combined with the Pennant Trim Die!  I wanted to keep my card soft but also wanted to add a little something extra to it...so I decided to trim all of the edges in glitter.  I mean, when all else fails, get out the glitter...right?  :-)  I've mentioned before how much I love all the new banners Julee has added to the sentiments.  On top of that, look at the little flower petal things on the top left...LOVE it!  :-)  I decided to color them in using my Coipic markers...just so they stood out a little more.  Fore decoration, I added another Canvas Resist shape from Prima and some polka dot tulle (along with my standard buttons and ribbon of course :-).

Waltzingmouse New Release Preview Day 2...

Welcome back to the second day of the Waltzingmouse New Release Preview posts!  You are in for a treat again today as the Design Team is sharing peeks of two new sets and some new Waltzingmouse DIES!!  That's right...dies!  Claire has designed the most gorgeous dies...and a set to match them!  :-)

When I sat down to stamp with the new Camellia set I have to say that I was totally smitten!  So much so that I stamped several projects one right after the other!  I don't usually do that...I like variety and tend to switch between sets.  I have always loved Claire's flowers, but this new set is hands down my favorite WMS flower set...ever!!  I have so many ideas rolling around in my head and I can't wait to make them all!  :-)  Instead of sharing all of the projects I made, I have chosen two (I promise to share the other later). 

Do you ever feel like you have multiple card-making personalities?  I do!  LOL!  Like my card yesterday, I do like me some vintage goodness with piles and piles of layers!  :-)  Sometimes though, I like to keep things simple.  I can see this flower stamped either way...clean and simple (and graphic looking like my card today) or lots of layers and fussy cutting.  My first idea for this set was to create a monochromatic card...with the flowers embossed in white.  I decided on black as my base color as I thought the white embossed flowers would be very striking.  I completed the card with a simple strip of cardstock (black) adhered across the card with some of the included sentiments embossed on it.  I refrained from adding any ribbon (shocking, I know!) and added a single rhinestone instead. 

For my next project, I kept with the more simple theme...but went a bit softer.  I created a set of three cards (with matching envelopes) and packaged them up in a glassine bag.  I decorated the bag with a dark gray belly band and a layered and glittered Camellia flower!

Here's a peek at the set of cards.  I just wanted to point out that the sentiments are not ask crooked as they look in this photo!  I wanted the cards to be open a little bit to show that I stamped the sentiments on the inside of the card and that makes them look a bit crooked in the photo.  I promise they are straight and centered in real life (with the cards closed LOL!)!

I used a shaped card cut file form the Silhouette Store combined with some new My Mind's Eye patterned paper.  I embossed the sentiment on the inside of the card (but you can see it through the little "window" on the front).  I then added a glittery flower (from the Camellia set).
