Waltzingmouse December Release Preview - Ornate Ornaments...

Good morning!  I am SO excited to be joining in with the other Waltzingmouse DT ladies today!  It feels SO good to be stamping again (even though I haven't had a lot of time, I do plan on getting even more inky next week :-).  Today, we are sharing projects made with the soon to be released Ornate Ornaments set!

All four of the new Waltzingmouse sets will be released tomorrow, December 1st!  You are going to LOVE the new stamps!!  :-)

I wanted to create something that would be easy to mass produce, so I kept my card more on the simple side.  I did try to use some modern colors for interest (that's a dark gray, not black).

I embossed the gorgeous ornament using a dark gray ink and some clear embossing powder.  I then cut/embossed the ornament using the Spellbinders 2011 Heirloom Ornament Dies.  One of my favorite things about this set (aside from the beautiful artwork :-) is that the ornaments coordinate with previously released dies...so there is a good chance that you already have some of them!  How fun is that?  I love it when I can get even more mileage from my dies!

For my card, I used five sentiments and two ampersands from the new We Connect set from Paper Smooches!  Ampersands are so trendy right now, and I just love the look of the three that Kim included in this set!

In keeping with the graphic and fun look of the sentiments, I chose three different patterned papers as my background and arranged them in a color blocking style.  The "love" sentiment is stamped directly onto some fabric that I cut out using a heart die.

Yours Truly...

 Good morning!  It's my turn to share some of my Glitz "Gratitude" themed cards with you!

When I think of gratitude, one of the first things that comes to my mind is my family!  I am so grateful for my family!  So naturally, being a cardmaker and all, I love to create cards for them! 

I used several products from the new Yours Truly collection to create this pocket card.  I think my favorite is the sweet little bird layered sticker.

Here's a picture of the sweet Owl Whatnot I tucked into the pocket I created on the front of my card.  I adore the hearts on the belly of the owl...so sweet!! 

For my second card, I created a thank you card.  I am so loving the new Yours Truly collection!  The colors are so warm and cozy...and yet the patterns are hip and fun!

A Great Pear...

Happy Thursday!  It's "Cards on Thursday" over at the Bella Blog, and I thought I would share the two cards I made here as well.  :-)

Did you know that Bella BLVD has stamps??  Oh yeah!!  They are co-branded with Unity Stamps (I love the cling red rubber) and they are fabulous!!  I used the flowers from the Celebrate in Style set along with the sentiment from the So Happy For You set.

I stamped the flowers three different times (they are all a part of one stamp), cut them out, and then popped them up.

Isn't that a GREAT stamp?  I just love chevrons and polka dots together, and Bella has so many cute chevron and polka to choose from! For this card, I combined some patterned paper from the Making the Team and Birthday Girl collections. For the focal image, I stamped the pears (from the Itty Bitty by Unity Great Pear stamps), colored one of the pears in using my Copic markers, and then added a heart sticker.

Here's a close up of the sentiment that I stamped along the bottom.  Oh, and that CUTE button!  :-)  I love Bella's buttons!

I Love You This Much...

Goodmorning friends!  Today I have a super quick Paper Smooches card to share with you!  I LOVE Kim's snowmen, and the new Freezy Fellas set is full to the brim with them!!  :-)

I kept this clean and simple...can you believe it?  Me??  Clean and simple?  Stranger things have happened...  LOL!  Seriously though, I really wanted these sweet snowmen to shine.  I used two different snowmen (all included in the new Freezy Fellas set), the heart (the little line and bows are hand drawn), and one of the sentiments.  The little snowflake is from the new Warm Hearts set.  Just for fun, I added a wee bit of Stardust Stickles to the snowmen and the centers of the snowflakes.

P.S.  For those of you that are following my daughter's progress, we are still in Seattle.  She had her first surgery (where they placed grids and electrodes around the area of scar tissue in her brain).  She came through wonderfully.  She is in quite a bit of pain...but it IS brain surgery after all.  :-)  She is an amazingly tough girl and I couldn't be more PROUD to be her mom!  Her second surgery is scheduled for tomorrow afternoon.  This will be the trickier one...the one where they actually remove stuff.  I will continue to keep you updated via facebook.
