Hi friends! I'm so honored to be joining in as a guest for today's hop! :-)
Happy Holiday Hop! Becky and Melanie thought it would be great fun to team up for a little Holiday Hop today. Today we are showcasing Becky's new set, "Warm Woolen Mittens" along with Becky's new cut file "Grand Banners" and "Grand Banners - Winter Sentiments" and Melanie's newest set, "Lots of Letters" as well as some of her other recent favorites. Joining us are some dynamic designers that will knock your socks off with their beautiful work today! Make sure you visit everyone's blog to leave a comment and be entered to win a clear "I do!" and "Beyond Baskets" stamp set! A winner will be announced Thursday. Now on to today's projects!
For my first card, I used the gorgeous mistletoe image from the Stately Flowers 5 set! I just adore the beautiful detail Melanie adds to her images...it makes it so fun (and easy) to color them in! :-) I framed the sentiment (also from the Stately Flowers 5 set) and added several rhinestone embellishments for the finishing touches. This set comes in both the red rubber cling as well as clear.
My next card features images and sentiments from the Stately Flowers 3 set. I wanted to use the Bitterroot flower (Montana's state flower) for my card as I plan on sending it to my mom. She used to live in Montana (by us) but now lives in Oregon, closer to my brother. Even though it is much easier for her there (the weather is by far milder), she still misses Montana. I know she'll recognize this flower right away! The Bitterroot is such a plucky little flower! I've seen them grow and bloom in some of the worst conditions - right through rocks & gravel as well as sagebrush covered land.
When I did a google image search, I saw that they come in many different shades of pink. The ones that we have by us are very pale pink (like the one I colored above).
Well, that's all from me! Make sure to go and see what the other ladies have created!
