I used the new Button Up set to create my card.  I chose one of the circular flower images, stamped them in different colors, and then punched them out with my circle punch.  I added a little heart rhinestone underneath the sentiment (which is also from the Button Up set).

I used the new Luke 1:45 Plain Jane (along with the new Sprightly Sprigs and Petal Points dies) to create this card.  When I first saw this stamp, I knew I had to use it for my daughter's graduation card!  After all that she has gone through (and is still going through), she is graduating this Sunday with her class!

For embellishment, I tied on some black seam binding (from the Verve Signature Ribbon Collection) and some sparkly sequins (from the Shine Bright Sequin Mix).

I'm just going to say this upfront...I am head over heels in love with this new set!!  Like, serious L.O.V.E.!!  Julee has always been a font genius, but this takes it to a new level!  And that banner...caaauuuute!  :-)

I kept my card fairly CAS as I was making this for the hubby. I have yet to convince him that flowers, pretty ribbons, lace, and buttons are cool...even for guys!  :-)  Because this card was for him (I always make the cards that our kiddos give to him), I practiced self control where embellishments were concerned and only added a wooden bicycle (that I inked up with silver ink).

Reverse Confetti May Color Challenge...

Hi friends!  I'm hopping along with the Confetti Crew today!  There's a brand new color challenge over at the Reverse Confetti Blog and it's a fun one!

Here's the challenge...

 

 

I love these bright, happy colors so much!  It's a rare day when I don't use patterned paper, but I thought these colors would look wonderful as the background.  Just strips of lovely, fun colors!  I stamped them randomly with the large Smile sentiment (from the You Make Me Smile set).  The embossed sentiment is also from the You Make Me Smile set.  I created the strip of arrows using the Arrows n' Elements set.

 

Here's some important info about the challenge...

 

• There will be a new Color Challenge posted on the Reverse Confetti blog on the 16th of each month.

• The color link list will be open from the 16th until noon CST on the 30th. The color challenge will be posted in the sidebar and you will be able to click on it to get to that month’s challenge post with the link list during this time.

• Reverse Confetti stamps are required to win.  This is a way we get to thank our customers for using our stamps.  Anyone is welcome to play, though!

• You may enter as many times as you wish.

• There will be a winner each month and that person will receive a $20 gift certificate to the Reverse Confetti store and claim the title of ‘Fetti Fave. The winner of Color Challenge will be posted on the Reverse Confetti blog on the 31st of this month.

Bright Side of Life...

Hi there!  Today is my day over at the Verve Blog sharing what I came up with for this month's Diva Dare!  The theme this month is "Petals & Wings" and we were challenged to include a flower and a butterfly on our projects! 

This is what I came up with...

 

I started by cutting some banners (using the Banner Bundle Die Set) out of patterned paper.  I chose my patterned paper to be the petals part of the challenge.  For the wings part, I embossed and die cut the butterfly form the Die Sidekicks set (using the previously released All Aflutter Die Set).  The sentiment is from the Petals & Wings set.  For embellishment, I added some super sparkly sequins from the Shine Bright Sequin Mix.
