Good morning! Sorry about the huge gap in posts! When life happens, boy does it ever happen! LOL! More on that later in the post. First, I want to share a card with you. I made it for the Weekly Challenge over at StampTV! Thankfully, I have a small handful of cards that I have made a while ago (this is one of them) that I will continue to share over the next week.
I used the Riding By Duo stamp set (one of my favorite Duos) along with some Gina K re-inkers and a Waterbrush to add some color. I most definitely do not profess to be a watercolor expert by any means, but I sure do enjoy it! In fact, it is probably my favorite look for colored in images! :-)
So, here is a little of what has been keeping me occupied lately...
Lucas is 9 1/2 months now and couldn't be more fun! He's crawling, pulling himself up on furniture, just starting to purposefully say some words, claps when he is happy, waves to people, and absolutely LOVES to laugh! He has filled our hearts with a lot of happy, and our home with a lot of toys! Heee!
Another thing that has been occupying me is definitely not as fun as playing with Lucas! A little over a week ago I was walking out to the tractor and baler (it is haying time here) and came to a ditch in the field. It's been a great year for moisture and sun so the grass is waist high. I am not fond of snakes (to put it mildly) so I thought that jumping the ditch (even though I couldn't see clearly where it ended) was much better than meeting up with a snake. Yeah, I was wrong. Long story short, I ended up with a complete ACL tear in my left knee as well as a tear in the Meniscus. There are some other not so fun injuries but they are small in comparison. I have to be off of my left leg completely, and elevating it often. I meet with the orthopedic surgeon next week. Fun times. Thankfully, I have a great family that makes sure I follow the doctor's orders as well as helps out with Lucas and the household chores!
Speaking of my family, I am being told to go put my knee up as I type this! LOL! I really do have the best family! I'll be back later with some more cards to share!
Hugs,
Laurie
