Hi friends! I'm so excited to be hopping along with all the former Muses as well as the past and present Case Study design team members to celebrate the 4th Anniversary of the Case Study Challenge Blog!
Iwona has asked us to share what our latest inspirations are and the resulting paper crafted projects!
There are two things that inspire me the most when creating. The first is different color combinations! I had some cardstock out on my desk from a previous project and as I was putting it away, I was struck with how pretty the soft aqua blues were with the gold. That is what inspired this first card! The sentiment is from the Blissful Banners set (cut out with the Streamers Die set) from Paper Smooches. I created the background by first brushing on some white acrylic paint to soften up the yellow a bit. I then used one of the dies from the Dots & Dashes die set to create a diamond pattern. Finally, I spritzed on some subtle gold color spray.
The second thing that inspires me most when creating is the card (or gift) recipient! My boys are starting back to school soon and I like to make them a little handmade gift to include in their backpacks each year! Last year I made them bookmarks, so this year I decided to package up some pencils for them. I chose papers and embellishments that I thought they would like. The "Fun This Way" box features papers form the Daily Chevies collection from Bella BLVD and the "Dream Big" box features papers from the Bella BLVD Lucky Starz collection.
I created a template for my pencil boxes so I could share with you! :-) Just click on the template to see it full size, print it out, and follow the directions!
