Season's Givings Blog Hop...

 

 

Happy New Year!!  I am so blessed to be a part of such a caring and generous group!  It's amazing how big the stamping/scrapbooking world is, but how small it is at the same time!  A more generous group of ladies (and guys) could not be found anywhere!  So to be able to give back just a little tickles me to my core!  :-)

I have four different giveaways!  To be entered in the giveaway, just leave a comment here on this post (only one please).  Because of shipping costs, I will only be able to send to USA residents.  My giveaways will close Monday, January 5th at 9pm Eastern time, so make sure and leave a comment before then!

I split the goodies up as evenly as I could.  All the bundles have at least 2 full stamps sets.  There are some dies in there, chipboard accessories, 6 x 6 paper pads, a couple of 6" embossing folders, and lots of embellishments!

Shore Do Love You...

Good morning friends!  Things are quiet around here, I know.  Along with all of the Christmas business, we are preparing for a trip to Minnesota.  I've had several emails asking how Alison (my 18 year old daughter) is doing.  Unfortunately, she's not doing all that great.  We were told by the doctors in Seattle that there isn't anything else that they can do for her.  Fortunately, she has a fantastic neurologist that wasn't willing to give up and has referred her to the Mayo Clinic.  We will be leaving the day after Christmas...which makes this time before Christmas even more busy!  :-) 

Enough chatting...here is a little something that I made a while ago but haven't shared yet.

 

This card all started with the super cute anchor clip!  I completely built the card around it!  LOL!  The Happy Harbor (from Reverse Confetti) was a perfect match for my clip!  As much as I love Christmas, it was fun to take a break and stamp something non-Holiday themed!  :-)

December Sketch For You to Try...

Good morning!  I'm playing along with the brand new Sketch For You to Try!  You can find all the details on the sketch challenge (along with the fabulous prize you can win) over at the Reverse Confetti Blog!

 

 

 

When I first saw this sketch, I thought it was perfect for creating a birthday card for my son!  He will be turning 11 (how in the world did that even happen???) in a few days!  I knew I wanted to use the large birthday wishes circle from the Roundabout Additions stamp set, so I turned the card horizontally so that there would be enough room for the other elements.  At first I wanted to use more circles, but I couldn't make them all fit so I die cut some stars using the Oh My Stars Confetti Cuts die set.  I die cut the large circle using the Circles 'n Scallops Confetti Cuts set.  I added texture to the background using embossing paste and a stencil.  Instead of the sentiment panel, I tied some twine.

Reverse Confetti December Blog Hop...

 

Welcome to the December Reverse Confetti Blog Hop!  Today, the Confetti Crew is sharing some handmade packaging ideas...perfect for the upcoming Holiday!

It would be worth your while to start at the beginning of the hop, so you don’t miss a thing. We have tons of inspiration for you to see using all the new Reverse Confetti stamp sets and dies!

 

If your house is anything like mine the couple of weeks before Christmas, then time is always in short supply!  I am always on the lookout for quick and easy (but still fabulous) packaging ideas!  Enter the Treat Tote Confetti Cuts die set!  It's SO fast to put together, and is the perfect size for a little treat!  I only made one of these this time, but plan on making another dozen or so this weekend.  I want to make sure I have plenty of these on hand for teachers, bus drivers, neighbors, and even our mail lady!  I love that I can give a thoughtful gift that will let the recipient know they are appreciated without breaking our budget!

To turn this into a Christmas Treats gift, I created a banner to go above the Treats die cut.  I stamped the Christmas sentiment (from the Bring on the Merry set) onto a pre-stamped and die cut banner (I used both the Beautiful Banners stamp and coordinating Beautiful Banners Confetti Cuts set).

Waltzingmouse Decmeber Release Hop...

Welcome!  It's here!  Both of the new Waltzingmouse stamp sets that we have been previewing the last few days are now available over at the Waltzingmouse Stamps Store!  We're celebrating with a blog hop featuring more projects made with the new goodies!  If you are following along, you should have arrived here from Sandie's blog.  If you are just joining us, make sure to head on over to Claire's blog...she will get you started!

 

For my project today, I used the new Vintage Postcards set to create a special tag for a burlap sack filled with goodies!  The cute little envelope was created using the Mini Mail Die Set.

Here's a peek at the wee little tag tucked inside the envelope!  I used the smallest Postcard image (from the Vintage Postcards set) for the background.  I stamped the sentiment (from the Compliments of the Season set) using red ink.  I added the Santa postage image for a pop of color.
